I had a lovely 30 mins with JJ this morning
I had to have an MRI and I suffer terrible anxiety in confined spaces
To get me through I imagined the machine noises were his bones being crunched a bit in actually competing in contests for once
Me with commentary to him via an ear piece “Toughen up”

Crazy I know
I'm with you, I had to get one done and got my doctor to give me some Valium. Did the trick, I think? I was out of it.

They are awful
Yet sportspeople undertake them all the time to access injuries
This was only my second one in my life and when I was given head phones today I thought great. Progress. Music
Hahaha no music
I figured the best hope in the future is if it’s an ankle to be examined & I grew a foot taller. At least a good portion of my head would be out of that capsule

He showed in 1 interview why he should'nt be in the leadership group. He also showed in his performance last week why he should'nt be in the team. The fact he was put into the leadership group is frightening. So if your an 18 year old kid and you see one of our leaders back away from a mark last week you would be confused. He should have answered the question with " I don't deserve to be picked". Just show some honesty for once. By the way the club should have cancelled all interviews. Do your talking on the field.
That's pretty much what he said.

Seriously think we need to relocate Tom Lynch out of the forward half and onto the wing for a full game. If we are trying to slow our ball movement out of defense we are basically making his 'link man' role completely redundant. It only works when he can run his man off his legs leading up the field, and then getting the ball in the damaging part of the grounds on the return sprints towards goal.

Better off having him play his down and back leading role against their opposition wingman (who tend to be much poorer at manning up compared to a HBF), and giving us another crumbing/marking option up front!

Right now all his elite running and leading is going to waste if we have no intention of moving the ball forward with speed. At least this way we can get something out of his natural running power, while also freeing up a forward line spot for someone more damaging around goals like Stengle, Davis, Gooch, Greenwood or FOG

The other teams know exactly how we're going to set up

Would planning for us be a challenge?

I know most teams are structured to a strong degree but there's not even any in-built flexibility weapons to our structure - eg Burgoyne goes onto the ball, Martin goes up forward, Hodge to half back, smaller forward line for a period of the game etc.

I think the problem is whenever we throw the magnets around we look even less dangerous (if that’s possible). To throw teams off our stale game plan we need to throw the magnets around on Thursday afternoon, not halfway through the third quarter!

Our game plan is so rusted on that changing the player personnel is the only logical solution IMO.

Could play him as the intercepting defender- has the tools, whether he is wasted there is the issue.

It's poor list management. Doedee going down doesn't help, but we're short of KPD's and third tall defenders. We've also got two 200cm giants in the forward line.

If it was about developing Fog, we'd be giving him runs in the midfield to get his hands on the ball.
We lost a Defender. Fog is doing some defence, seems fairly standard, find players who have played role before. tick

I don't care what capacity Fog plays AFL as long as he plays.
It's not poor list management at all. Fog can barely run out a game as a forward he'd be stuffed after 5 mins in the midfield.

But, yes i would rather we drop a KPF and play him there.
See ya JJ
