Looks ok, Stevo says Libba should be back so maybe hold Weightman for another week and put Naughton back.
Don't think libba will ever play again unfortunately and if he does doubt he has any meaningful impact. Was slow to start with but now with his knees he is even slower and turns like a truck

The delivery to Bruce has been absolutely shite and he has had no chance to show something At all.

Naughton has been no better, in fact he was way worse in Round 1
Fair comment Mattdougie
And since its the first time you've replied to one of my posts for 4 years.
Would it be better for Bruce to be our number 1 forward target?
Would it be good for Naughton to play in defence again.
Should we just tank and play all the campaigners for the Jamarra draft?

Honestly who knows mate

I’d play 2 kpbs with Keath as the 3rd to do what he does best.

I’d play 2 kpfs with one as back up ruck

You can only tank when you are good enough to play better and don’t. Not sure we are capable of being any better with this coaching panel incurrent form

Looked at vision on our website of EJ,s last lap at the G. Twenty five years ago today. Maybe this vision could be used as a Bevo motivating tool this week. Bevo loves analogies what better than the great EJ who was in a lot pain and blind beating the odds and completing the lap of honour.

Bevo has earmarked more changes this week whilst not changing the forward line (suspect Gowers, lloyd a dale are safe)
Libba and McLean chances in the midfield with some changes in defence. Cordy will likely return and trengove in the mix.
Schache will miss again. I honestly can't see him at the dogs next year

Schache will almost certainly be gone. Pity really, he's no star but I think he's capable of 40+ goals in the right set up. He'd fit the Pies really well I reckon

Cordy needs to be back. Gardner may survive another week unfortunately, as he's reasonably quick and may "suit" the GWS forward line better, even if he makes endless mistakes. Would hope he's out for Trengove.

Sounds like Crozier is managing his loads too - really hope he's not out. Would be disastrous if we went without both Wood and Crozier. Lucky Williams has turned things around this year or we'd be completely stuffed.

When he says no shake up to forward line, hopefully that just means minimal changes rather than no changes. Gowers out for McLean is a pretty simple and straightforward change that doesn't completely shake things up.

Probably just me but id drop Lloyd before Gowers. Even though Gowers was very ordinary Lloyd was worse imo. Slow to the contest no repeat efforts and didn't read the ball like he usually does.

Yeah won't disagree. Lloyd has had two awful, awful weeks while Gowers only had the one. Could go either way.

At least Dale applied pressure...

Gowers, Gardner, Lloyd, Suckling out

Trengrove, Cordy, McLean, Libba in

Backline: Clearly we need more solid defenders down here to allow Keath to play his third man, intercepting style and to take the pressure off our medium defenders like williams and Crozier. This is especially important with GWS tall forward line. Gardner the obvious out but bring Trengrove and Cordy in as the 1 and 2 defenders. They'll add mongrel and leadership. JJ and Daniel stay as the attacking defenders with support from Williams and Crozier. Suckling is one Peaheart too many and needs to go.

Midfield: Put Macrae back in the guts and move bont to the wing. I would be in bonts ear and saying to him: run hard for every possession even if its a cheap short kick in the backline. Play it easy and build your confidence up. Just play Hunters role; be an option and use to the opportunity on the wing to direct your team mates. This will hopefully allow him to avoid some of the heat that'll be put on him by GWS and allow him to still be damaging on the outside. Leave the inside gruntwork for Dunkley, Smith, Macrae and Libba.

Lipinski on the other wing. I love Lipinski's game but he's best suited to an outside role at the moment. We need TICKER on the inside. Keep him outside opposite bont where he can use his skills and endurance. Vandermeer and Richards can sub into the wing spot and give Bont and Lipinski a break as required.

Forwardline: Gowers obvious out, adds nothing. Lloyd is also very out of form and needs to be dropped, his defensive game has always been poor and when you can't count on him to kick or set up goals he's useless. Jong to play a roaming medium half forward. His defensive pressure is as strong as anyone on the list. He's a great mark for his size and his endurance seems really solid. He, Dale and Wallis are our three medium forwards. Richards and McLean to hopefully bring strong pressure and solid ball use. The big thing for out forwards to focus on is to make sure they are applying pressure. Every forward listed here has shown that ability, whether it's Richards or Naughton. Even Dale who's arguably the softest player here has shown he can run hard defensively at times. We need to make it ugly and tough in our front half. No more perfect football. Contest in the air and on the ground.

Keath Trengrove Crozier
Johannisen Cordy Williams
Bont Smith Lipinski

Bevo said today - Schache has a bright future but just isn’t in the side at the moment. Wouldn’t be throwing him in the bin just yet. See where he’s at in 5-6 weeks. This post iso period has thrown up some weird things.

I wouldn't expect massive changes, Bevo seemed to think all our problems will be fixed by better ball use. I think we will pull:

In: Cordy, Libba
Out: Gardner, Dale

I'd lover Gowers out but there's clearly something Bevo sees.

Keath Trengrove Crozier
Johannisen Cordy Williams
Bont Smith Lipinski
Richards Naughton Jong
Wallis Bruce Dale
English Macrae Dunkley

Do we think Richards will be back after he copped that knee knock? If he's out I like that team but would swap Richards for Weightman.

In Libber and Sweet at a minimum (we are playing GWS enough said)

Out whoever is not prepared to knock over a GWS player this week.

I am also glad we persevered with B.Williams and he decided to stay. He has made a solid start to 2020 year and will only get better IMO.
