It's not like he blasts away kicks inside 50 and in clearances. He is quite skillful believe it or not. How has Lyons outperformed Crouch?

Neutral posters gave Lyons BOG over Crouch when they played together. As did the club and The Advertiser.

I guess you were at the games and saw it differently though.

Both have been consistent performers in the sanfl. Both have been deserving of being picked in the afl. Neither has been significantly better than the other unless you are biased.

Henderson was easily our worst...
if he wasnt falling over, he was running past it, or being pushed off it,
or dropping sitters,
he couldnt even get in the way - that's how bad his game was...
a wet paper bag blowing in the wind...

The significant difference between Lyons and Crouch is Crouch's hardness at the contest and at the opposition ball carrier...no comparison whatsoever. Very significant at AFL LEVEL.

I'd like to see someone in for wright. would rather persist with hendo, grigg and others over this guy who is barely best 22 and we have many not getting full games who are in better form and have much more future potential. seems like a nice guy, wins a few free kicks by ducking and generally tries hard but can't see how he's holding his position over others.

Still think there is room for both of them.

Danger moves forward, Grigg to a wing.

Midfield rotations of BC, MC, Sloane, Lyons, Douglas, Grigg and Danger.

I'm disappointed with how much hate Shaw has received on this thread. I don't think he was as terrible as lots of people are saying and considering it's his first game in, well, how long? A while anyway, as a tall playing in wet conditions and contributing to a defence that conceded 10 goals and was under pressure from Richmond for the majority of the game, I hardly think he deserves some of the severe commentary that he's received on here.

if they dont give hendo a spell then they havent reviewed the game..he brought nothing...
and is now firmly entrenched as my 2104 whipping boy until he does something worthy of the jumper on his back...!

Jarryd Lyons' SANFL form was never as good as Matt Crouch's form in the past month. Junior has averaged 34.7 disposals, 8 marks and 7.7 clearances in the past 3 weeks. Crouch>Lyons

And the game before that was 42 possessions so that lifts his average even more.

When Henderson is accountable for a player and he knows there is going to be body contact he literally falls apart. Watch his body language you can see he's going to get done.
There are times where he looks good running around the backline free of a player, however why Sando thinks Henderson is a defender has me beat.

Unfortunately Henderson is playing at the standard I expected of him. The only positive about Henderson coming back into the team was having that guy who is on the taller side, who is quick and who can rebound. I think having him in the team makes opponents more conscious of him being there so they can't just focus on Smith which might help to free Smith up to be more effective with his rebounding.

He kicked the ball out on the full 3 times under no pressure! His kicking will never be up to afl standard which is a pity as the rest of his game is ok.
