Like Partington and who else?
I said before, Redden, Masten, Duggan, Jetta, Hutchings and even Sheed have been at East Perth at various times this season so it's not like there's been no midfield changes at all.
It'd be great to see Venables or Partington in there but Venables has been gradually building up fitness after no preseason and now he's injured. I don't know who else is going to come in and make a difference.
Which means all this angst is basically because Partington hasn't been picked. And the vast majority of people complaining have probably seen him play once on the telly.
What is obvious though, is that Partington was obviously not invited to Simmo's birthday party.

The same forward who completely got us back within distance of getting us over the line in that game.We were lacking goals last week.i know let's drop the fwd that kicked our most goals......
It's not the fact that we think Partington is the answer to our midfield prayers. It is the fact that we are sick of the same ******* shit with our senior players and want something done about it. You've been here long enough to figure that out, havent you?
We were lacking goals last week.i know let's drop the fwd that kicked our most goals......
So we should do nothing because that'll fix it?
These selections tell me that there is a bit of a struggle amongst the MC over their favourites and what Simmo would like to do. I see this as Simmo just trying to put some youth into the team and being told on who he can & cant drop. As others have said his endorsement of "he's had a great career" (if that is exactly how he put it) isn't a ringing endorsement. It sounds like "I cant say anything negative so I will pull a positive out of somewhere".
Yeah it's getting that way for me too.The telling thing for mine is the lack of anger in this thread compared to apathy. It's a pathetic reflection on the club.
Too young.I doubt Lamb will ever play for this club again.
People wanted those changes because it'd be an acknowledgement from the club of what the actual problems are rather then the delusion they still seem to be under.I've been here long enough to realize that no matter what the changes are each week people will be unhappy with them.
People wanted senior players dropped and youth brought in but are unhappy becaus the wrong senior players were dropped and the wrong youngsters brought in.
People don't want to see the same midfielders like Masten and Redden rotated through each week but are unhappy because no midfielders were changed, when there's basically only one other midfielder that would currently be under consideration.
Lamb's often are.Too young.

Meanwhile .. Sexy Mark hasn't kicked a goal since round 7.

It was actually "he's had a great career and still has bags and BOG performances ahead him".
