Depends on whether Douglas gets rubbed out by the MRP. Grigg to replace him if he goes, no change if he doesn't.

Otten can have another run in the magoos, based on the match reports from his game yesterday.

Lyons to stay in the magoos until he gets properly fit (which probably won't happen this season).

Give Rutten another week seeing WB don't have a big forward. Apparently hurt his knee in the 3rd NAB cup game according to Sando.

Seems Otten didn't run out the game that well so he gets another game in the twos.

Assuming Douglas goes.
Out Douglas
In Grigg

Sando said Lynch will start so Grigg is a lock for the sub.

Douglas wont miss.
He'll get at least two. Him for Grigg is the only change I would make. Give Otten another week in the twos as he looked tired in the last quarter and no need to bring Truck back seeing as the Dogs don't have any damaging tall forwards.

In: Lyons

Out: Douglas

But still want Petrenko out but feel like I'm pushing shit up hill at the moment on that one.
People/our selectors are easily placated by wins, no matter who the opposition is. I agree with you because I don't think he'll ever be a good performer against decent teams but for now the masses are happy.

Lyons or Grigg will come in for Douglas. Whoever it is will probably get the vest.

If only Shaw had better disposal and decision making. Every single other aspect of football he is awesome at. Can't carry either him and Hartigan imo. Rutten back in and one of those out.

It's pretty unfortunate that everyone is so firm on Douglas getting games considering it wasn't a high shepherd. Grigg in for him.

Oh for sure.

Long term, he isn't part of our future. He can not kick for goal. Unless it's one of those out of his arse fluke goals with no pressure (or expectation to kick it) he will miss more times than not.

Have zero faith in his goal kicking and when it comes tine to play good sides or finals - we need dead eye dicks.

So people think Otten will get another run in the SANFL?

Selection is a tough one. Reilly was fine today, but the team will be better with Otten/Grigg in for him. He wouldn't get dropped before Shaw but are they competing for the same spot? It doesn't seem likely, with Shaw having come in for Rutten.

Does Douggie miss? If so that makes things much easier for this week at least.

I hope I am right about Douglas, I thought the contact was on the shoulder and the player did more damage when he hit the ground on his head.

Whats the video footage like is it conclusive?

Douglas had arms down and both feet on the ground. He wasn't even moving quickly, he was just trotting along and then stood his ground and Ward (not looking where he was going) ran straight into Douglas. There was no apparent high contact, Ward's head hit the turf after he bounced off Douglas.

Will have to hang up his netball bib for a couple of weeks for that.

Yeah Ward hit his head on the ground, his arms go out to half stop the fall..
Your arms don't go out like a conscious person would do if you were knocked out by the hit..

But I guarantee he will still get done for hitting a player who was just jogging on the outside and not truly in the contest, I can't remember who it was but another player did something very similar and they were suspended for something along the lines of the player should not have to be expecting a hit like that in the position they were in relative to the ball and play..

I repeat ... Ward ran into Douglas. I don't think the tribunal will give Ward any weeks off for that, it was clearly unintentional because Ward wasn't looking where he was going, and so he can't be said to have lined Douglas up.

Douglas is perfectly entitled to stand his ground wherever he wants to, in the contest or out of it.

This is lame

take off your rose tinted glasses - Douglas clearly lined up Ward - I don't think it was a particularly nasty hit but you're pulling yourself if you're gonna try to argue that Ward ran into Douglas

Saying this on here doesn't make the MRP give him (Douglas) any less, they don't care or even read what we think ;):p

Take a look at the video again ... Douglas is trotting slowly along, he spots Ward (Ward is not looking) about to run into his path ... Douglas stops, stands his ground, both feet on the ground, hands and arms down, braces himself, and then Ward runs straight into Douglas, bounces off, and falls to the ground. Douglas then resumes trotting slowly away.
