Checked what the weather would be out of curiosity this morning. A high of 9 degrees, boy oh boy wowee
Already told the misso that there will be no plans for Sunday morning/afternoon, starts at 11:10am my time & I'll be ready

Hasn't been much warmer for any of our games. The biggest concern for me is the wind, that could be our downfall. BOM updated forecast will be out at 4:30pm, I'll post when it's up.

Sounding like Tory probably out this week.

West in or Cavarra?
That would be exciting but it could be that it's just English in and Dickson out.

Anyway we probably won't be any wiser until around 5pm Friday when the final 22 is announced.

How did I forget about English??? I just thought like for like.

I suppose it'll come down to conditions. If it's a blizzard we probably won't go too tall.

Out: Dickson, Cordy
In: English, West

Move Trengove back to defence with Young, English in the ruck (obvs) and West covers Dickson.

They're never going to drop Cordy

Interesting, Young named and Full back so looks like he will hold his spot. Trengove named on the extended bench too...

English in for Dickson, nothing else required. Take that to the bank.

You sure? Leaves us down a forward (when they've been speaking a lot about how good it is to have 5 forwards) and with one too many key defenders. Or at least one more than Bevo usually likes.

We were down a forward for 3 quarters last week, didn't stop us from scoring heavily.

What we need is stability; our current team has been on fire, and we shouldn't deviate too much from that in the team selections.
We shouldn't be looking to bring in young West in a do or die clash in tough conditions.

If it's just English for Dicko then reckon Cordy plays forward a bit

Agree. Rather than see the backline re jigged to accomodate three talls, Cordy can be used as the bash and crash pressure player up fwd. If he marks a few and hits the scoreboard, it’s a bonus.

Probably right, although on a cold, wet day at Ballarat, could easily make the case that a scrappy ground player like West would add more to our team balance than either Suckling or Trengrove

Only light rain is predicted, and it's more likely in the morning.

Even then, I still disagree; Suckling and Trenners are exactly the players we shouldn't be dropping for a wet contest. Suckling's 70 meter kicks are all the more valuable, and Trengove gives us some much needed muscle in the stoppages. I wouldn't want English rucking alone in poor conditions, people forget how dominant Jacobs was against us in pouring rain last year.

A lot of Tallish timber in the Crows forward line though

Dickson out is a bigger loss than some might realise. A massive big game player, experienced, and an all time great of the club when all is said and done.
I don't like playing Adelaide in a make or break game,to many scars. I trust this group though.

West has only played one game,to much of an unknown. Suckling and Trengove will play for sure.
I'm not huge on Suckling, but Bev seems to be,I'd imagine he's one of the first picked. Trengoves form has been excellent.
