Exciting times with our kids starting to get games!

My thoughts on where they might line up:
B. Strauss Frawley Nicholson
HB. MacDonald Rivers Bennell
C. Jones Moloney Morton
HF. Sylvia Watts Green
F. Howe Jurrah Scully
R. Martin McKenzie Trengove
IC. Gawn Jetta Gysberts Evans

Looks like we might be a bit light on for defenders but Trengove can play back and so can Morton.

Petterd is out because he has got lazy habits, got nothing to do with the coach. When he is switched on and competes desperately he is in our best 22. When he is not he is a liability. The problem is he seems to play one good game and then four shit ones. Hopefully the message might start getting through to him.

Question: Why hasnt Jurrah been dropped this season then ?

Answer: You speak shit.:thumbsu:

Wouldn't be completely surprising. I think I heard something at the start of the season that the Richmond list is younger (or less experienced) than the GC list.
We're second behind GC in age, and a whopping 8 days younger than the Tigers

Inclined to agree :thumbsu:

ssurely jurrah wouldn't be the sub, can produce anything on any night, it would just be a waste of opportunity, gotta give it to evans/jetta

imagine the roar tomorrow night when scully gets the ball

maric is stiff considering hes past 3 games before this one have been quite good, however im happy with the ins, although i cant quite understand why morton is still in the side, didnt deserve hes spot in the first place and does nothing on the weekend yet is still named, to me this is a sign of obvious favouritism to a soft front running player which in my opinion doesnt send a good message to players trying to break into the team. Feel free to disagree which im sure most will

Jurrah is still kicking goals at least, he is fourth in the Coleman iirc.

He does need a change in attitude though, and Bailey needs to implement a better forward structure!

jurrah has been lazy as shit in recent times. however he cant be dropped or subbed as he is our only forward target..

You're a flog rude. Jurrah is lazy too and would be well in line to be dropped if he doesn't come out and play with intensity tomorrow night.

You and i both know Jurrah's laziness is far more superior to Petterd's. Jurrah never does any defensive work, ever.

Petterd, while down on form can hardly be blamed for it, the delivery to the forward line is absolutely shithouse and Petterd's kick chasing up on the wing last week was due to Bailey's disgusting flood.

I'm not saying Petterd deserves to be in the side more than Jurrah, but if we were going to use your criteria of laziness for dropping players, well, Jurrah and Green should have been out after round 2.

Jurrah is the reason people come to the footy, he's a spectacular player who gets people in the gates. With such a bland and boring side that we have, this, and this alone gets him game each week despite his pathetic defensive efforts. Dont kid yourself, if we could draw a crowd, win some games and had a coach with a set of balls he would of been down at Casey last week.

Petterd can take a contested mark (how many of our other forwards can? None, that's how many) and dominated against Adelaide when the forward line was given a chance. Its no coincidence that he appears out of form when the ball is being deliverd pathetically into our forward line, the team is playing like bunch of skirts and we have a game-plan that revolves around flooding.

This isnt about goals though. This is about TT's reason for Petterd being dropped, he's lazy.

Jurrah is the greatest down hill skier in the comp. Why hasnt he been droped yet ?

I guess you have to cut the lazy players who are not hitting the scoreboard before the ones that are?

Haha, you do present some refreshing arguments on occasion Rude.

I didn't think Petterd should be dropped either, he definitely has shit loads of talent...

You are probably right about bringing a crowd to a game, I'll give you that.

Would this go close to being the youngest team we've fielded to date?

I wish someone had a stat to answer that, I rekcon it will be younger than the GCS side this week.

How much better does that side look without those 2 duds Warnock and Newton?I really hope this signals the end to both of their career's.

As pointed out, because he still puts goals on the board. MFC simply don't want our losses to be anymore embarrassing and if Jurrah was out, the margins could get ugly.

The fact that Petterd was dropped for laziness still holds true. If Petterd was lazy as well as being the 5th highest goal kicker in the competition do you think he would be dropped? No. But because he is lazy AND not hitting the board he is dropped for his laziness because it won't effect the final margin.

Jurrah can and will be dropped when Melbourne find some form, if he persists with being lazy. I assume MFC simply believe it's just too big of a risk to drop him right now.

Would be very close to

We are fielding 12 players 21 or under... if my memory of their ages is correct.

Bennell, Gawn, Howe, Mckenzie, Watts, Scully, Trengove, Gysberts, Jetta, Evans, Nicholson, Strauss

In fact I'll add the ages up now, I have some time to kill :D

Howe doesn't look that short and is reasonably well built. Looking forward to seeing if all the work he's been doing pays off and hopefully he takes some big grabs. Big Gawn looks a bit skinny but hopefully he can do well.
