How far away is the Kegg?

He should but I don't think he will come straight back into the side any more and will have to play in the state side first.

Do you think might be good to give him a chance to play an offensive role through the middle? He's been playing defensive roles for so long, and it would give him a chance to get his hands on the ball a bit more.

In the state league side?

I guess so but only if they intend on him replicating that role in the AFL.

Selections will be interesting this week.

Time to see how the club looks at the guys on edge of the team - cos there is a real chance to knock off Hawthorn next week if we get it right.

Luke Thompson might continue his record of playing in the big games?

Is it time to give Tex a week ?? Hasn't been quite his normal self for a few weeks and looks a bit lost. Big call I know as the structure is ok. Might be a good time for Thommo to have a week off. Crouch or Lyons in, probably Crouch as he will at least play midfield.

We need to be much better in centre clearances so maybe both ??

Out: B Rutten, B Martin (S Thompson, P Dangerfield if injured)
In: S Kerridge, L Thompson (M Crouch, B Reilly)

I would like to se M Crouch come into the side but I am not so sure. Maybe due to team balance he will struggle to crack the side unless Thommo does go down with an injury.

Why the f*** would they drop Martin. He's been named in the best players today and rightly so. Is it an automatic text insert for some of you blokes?

no, but that's the unfortunate nature of having your best 22 available. Look I agree, Martin has been great but Kerridge probably offers just as much if not more. Hence he must come in.

Kedge wont play next week so it wont matter

Resting 2 of our top 5 most important players is basically forfeiting against Hawthorn.

Form wise or potential wise ?? If Thommo is struggling to get up from a 6 day break then he doesn't play, if he is good to go he plays I agree. Just think the day less will harm his chances.

Walker is not in our best 5 currently, not even close. He needs to be managed carefully and just looks a bit lost. A lot will depend on how he feels but he does appear flat.

If Lake does get suspended, it is a great opportunity for us to stretch their defense with Jenkins, Pods, Lynch, and Walker all up there.

Neither. You just don't rest players like that against the Premiers, in such a big, important game, unless they are not right to go. I'm sure if they are a little sore then they'll be able to get up for a game like this.

Tex is Tex. He can change a game off his own boot. You don't rest players like that unless they REALLY need it.
Thommo may be a dinosaur but he's been in ripping form.

Yeah, interesting watching the game last night, the Kanga's big men gave the Hawks a real touch up. The Hawks' defence is undersized at the best of times. Without Lake there as well, we could well have a party.

Thats a reason to keep him in IMO. Would love to see Cheney or Shoenmakers on one of our big guys...... That said we need more run, North ran them off their legs.
