So we didnt make a mistake... But it's good that we then addressed the mistake we didnt make?

Why is it so hard for you to understand? do you not understand hindsight? Its even funnier when you try and trip someone up and drill them when in fact your the one being laughed at!

There is a lot of talk around that the coaches aren't happy with Lyons fitness levels. This suggests to me that they feel limited to what he brings to the side and allows him to fall behind in selection to players who can offer a lot more. I think he has played alright this season when given an opportunity though.
Pretty sure a lot of this talk has come from this board. Not much directly from coaches/press.

No offence mate, but you've shown throughout this thread that you don't really have a clue.

Kingy said it was a mistake to drop Grigg befor the Freo game, the club has acknowledged it was a mistake by rushing him straight back in, Griggs two performances showed it was a mistake and Thommo continuing to struggle with fitness shows it was a mistake.

You can't use hindsight to cover a poor decision.

Can you do me a favour, please list 3 decisions the club has made that you have ever disagreed with? Because responding to your posts are a waste of time.

I only wish the AFC were as hard on their administrators as they are on their young talent.

How are they hard on the young talent? that is an unbelievable statement. The crows finished 3rd last season on the back of the senior players everyone is rubbishing now. so how is giving those same players every chance to play and regain form this horrendous crime?

Its almost like people expect the club to over look runs on the board. These players such as Johncock, Porplyzia and Reilly were heavily experienced players who have been with the club in some of the more successful times. They deserve to have every opportunity to prove themselves especially after the year we had last season. The club to their credit have started moving them on and started blooding young talent. Seldom do you get guys in their 2nd years make these huge impact that they don't get dropped. Some of you compare Wingard and Wines at Port. Both were top 6 selections in the national draft. Big big difference.

Crouch, Brown and Laird have set themselves up nicely when given the opportunity that I cant see them being dropped, 3 debutants in one season have cemented a spot, tell me again how shit the selection committee treat our youngsters. If you expect the coach and the selection committee to apologise for their selections regarding Grigg and Johnston, that's just being silly. If you expect Lyons and Kerridge to be playing tell me who you would drop and why? Just because a player is young and needs games doesn't mean you drop senior players willy nilly to blood even more youngsters.

To state we treat young players badly is just a horrible statement and one that is completely untrue.

tell me again what selection committee your on and what expert you are on talent and development of youngsters? you have no idea who your talking too or what I know or don't know. don't dismiss what I have to say just because you feel you have to sledge the club at every opportunity.

For the record I have said numerous times I didn't agree with Grigg being dropped for the fremantle game but could see why they did it.

Ian Downsborough was an embarrassing Joke and the treatment of my man Scott Hodges I thought was a little on the rough side. Andrew Jarman could have stayed one more season. 3 decisions.

I'm more referring to the coaches comments that 1 good game followed by 1 bad game will virtually get you dropped.

Were in administration, 0 good years 12 bad years and a suspension sees you retained.

Noone is laughing with you. Noone's laughing at you either as what you say is far too bemusing and pointless that doing so would be an act of apathetic depression.
Feel free to climb out from beneath the selectors desk any time.

The 1 good game, 1 bad game philosophy is used by every team in the AFL when the club virtually has a full list to choose from or another youngster needing a shot that's in cracking form in the reserves. It doesn't mean the player is being treated badly, just that the club feels they didn't cement their spot ahead of the next person.

Why do you hate the club so much? if you hate the selections, the admin, the supporters who talk positive about the club why do you even support them? in fact you couldn't call it support because you and others abuse them all the time.

yes, but in the context of the Crows season it makes little sense.

In terms of "treated badly" much of this is focused on development, it makes no sense for the club to continue to play out of form players in the hope they find form...for the off season. It also makes no sense to pick players struggling with Injury, they aren't getting better and we aren't playing finals, so get the right for 2014.

The only rationale I can see for selections is the message from the top is to come as high as possible to avoid further fall out from the Tippetgate fiasco.

Do you have any understanding of balance whatsoever or are you simply a cartoon character that noone would watch episode involving.

In your episodes have you ever heard anyone say this to you....
"You know what? I have a ball. Perhaps you'd like to bounce it?" (perhaps the sentiment of everyone in this thread)

Signed on for the Reilly gold pass are we? where he gets selected to get injured while known to be out of sorts.
Man must be copping it for bringing back sloane, not a single sanfl match.
Kerridge has been put into emergencies after 2 good games, waffle whatever you like but that looks like tanking.
17
SANFL
Handled the tough conditions well with team-high 30 possessions.

18
SANFL
Minced the Eagles early to set foundation. 26 possessions and a goal.

Sloane was out injured. Kerridge was dropped. BIG difference

This isn't directed at you but... you can't treat every player the same. Decisions are made about a player without precedent. Just because a selection timeline worked for Laird, doesn't mean the same timeline works for Kerridge.

Look at Vince. Dropped one week, back the next and has performed well since his return. Mackay has performed better since his return. But Porsche hasn't.

Some of us are not happy with being 13th, just two wins ahead of the Bulldogs.

Some of us are not happy that Trigg's actions have slammed our premiership window shut just as it was opening.

Seeing the same administrators, the same buffoon of a footy ops manager, the same double standards with selection every week gives us every reason to be filthy at the club.

Reilly was dropped brought back without playing a game earlier this season. Returned from not playing a game to be injured within 5 minutes.

Any idea of balance? Funny you should say that as having spent time this morning reading a number of your posts I actually thought you showed a distinct lack of balance yourself. Look at your continually negative and whiney posts re crows trades in recent years. You mention all the negative ones like Graham and Tambling but fail to mention all the ones we got right (1) Gunston became Kerridge, Jenkins and Grigg, (2) Jacobs for a pick in the 30's, (3) Lynch for a pick in the 30's, (4) brad Crouch trade etc

Not sure why you bother wasting your time and others on forums like this

thats great context hatchet jobbing and posting across threads
You completely miss the intent of anything I said. well done.
when you are an extremist you see anyone as unbalanced.
you support body corporate I am interested in players success not trading anyone off who is doing well to chase the rounds the body corporate has ensured there are no picks in.

I believe these reason by Jackster along with selections in particular not rewarding those that perform that we vent our frustration .
But dear Adelaide Crows mate we are on here because we love our club and we are the reason the club exist with our memberships support etc .
We spend our money to support Crows unlike Trigg who gets paid a massive wage to put our club on our knees.
And probably unlike you that probably getting paid by Crows.
Simple the facts are yes we finished 3 rd last year but this season a total disaster and too too many mistakes made off the field and by our coaches .
If you like losing last week to them then you are not a supporter or deserve to be paid by Crows.

Hehe, another one to the ignore list

Could someone detail this ignore feature we have an outbreak of trigg sycophantic shills.
Hypocrites that term critical talk whining and then proceed to whine are pretty hilarious though.
The, if you don't agree with me you must hate children crowd are awesomely balanced.
Don't agree with what someone does at the club you must hate the club, because i love the club i could never disagree with it it might not love me anymore.
Gee there are no issues there...
Why have these fascists only just made them self known I wonder.

Exactly. I still don't think Johnston is good enough, but grigg showed some glimpses that suggested he can make it, but by no means am I totally convinced

Yeah never would have guessed that - give the lad a chance rather than continually wanting him out traded etc!

ps did he pinch your recess money?
