Changes vs Port Adelaide

Considering our last month, I thought you guys should at least be slight favourites.
Aside from GWS and Freo, we haven't been great either. The fact it's in Adelaide should have you guys favourites... but not by that much. Will be interesting.

Cheers was wondering whether he would be back in time.

Likely Bontempelli is out also, but Stringer and Crameri should be right.

Looking forward to this game as Port Adelaide are by far and away my second favourite team and should be an good free flowing contest.
Me too. Perhaps free flowing but reckon will be a super high intensity and pressure game where team who composes themselves first will win. Can't wait to watch your team live. Super impressive team on tv!

Hard one this week for balance.

By the looks of things Bont's and Toyd could be rested (General soreness) Stringer and Crameri to come in, both spending some time in the midfield with a bit more time from Hrovat to compensate for the loss of Bonts.

Tallia to come in for either Bigss or Dale to allow Roughy and possibly Fletcher to play the Toyd role

Judging by bevs pressa
Tom Boyd will play and stringer will be back
Bonts is 50/50
Jong will stay

For mine dale needs a spell and some gym work. He runs to all the right spots but is getting crunched and rag dolled too often. This not good for his longevity.

Biggs hasn't had much of a chance
And needs a full game
Unfortunately selection pressure could see him dropped

Would like to see McLean have a go but it's hard to fit him in too

I doubt players will be rested considering we have the bye the week after. I'd be surprised if Biggs is dropped. Normally Bevo doesn't seem to drop players who come on as subs and do reasonably (the only subs I remember coming on to little effect are Hunter and Goodes, and I feel like both kept their spot the week after).

Out: Bont (inj/rest), Dale, Biggs
In: Stringer, Crameri, McLean

Would love to see McLean get a run, have been super impressed with what I've seen in VFL in the last few weeks. Dale got his 3 games now I think its time to replace him and give Toby a few. McLean looks more AFL ready than Dale from what I've seen. Thought Biggs was ok but just don't see where he fits in at the moment with Webb back in and earning his spot in the 18. Murph, JJ, Webb and Wood have been awesome so Biggsy doesn't have a spot for mine.

If we bring Mclean in, that will be 4 players making their AFL debuts for us, only first 10 weeks too which is very impressive. They have all deserved it too, no games are just being gifted.

Great signs.

Can Redpath play this week? Was he suspended?

I figure if ever they are going to rest Toyd it will be this week and I would bring big Red in for a go.

Out: T.Boyd, Bontempelli (inj), Biggs
In: Redpath, Mclean, Stringer

After not playing the VFL I'd worry about how long it would take for him to pick up the AFL pace. Plus, I would be very surprised if we rest Tom before the bye.

Out bont (rest) Boyd (rest) dale Biggs ( workload, sub)
In stringer crameri McLean talia/Prudden

This week is a good week to rest anyone that needs it, Boyd and bont looking to be most in need.

Biggs has be sub the past two weeks, right? So a full game in the twos or not start as sub. As for dale, if McLean comes in can't have to many 1st year players.

Minson roughead and even Roberts can play that deep forward target without Boyd adding crameri and stringer we'll be right.

Depending on match ups maybe talia or even giving Prudden ago.

What are the dimensions of the Adelaide Oval compared to Etihad?
At Etihad we have been very good except a second half debacle against the Saints. We were horrid at the G against the Dees, and while we beat the Tiges I didn't feel we were at our best that day. Tassie was hard to judge after losing two players really early. Just wondering if we are struggling with our zone defence on bigger grounds and will that be a problem this week? (I know Adelaide used to be long and skinny but with renovations they have widened the ground so not sure on its dimensions compared to Etihad.)

Although Jongy didn't have outstanding numbers, I think you could see he had a lot more confidence in his hand just by the way he went about it. I'd let him regain form in the 1's as he's a player that can turn it on at any moment.

In: String, Cram
Out: Bont, Dale

We have been missing his Bliztkreig - we'll need it against Port.

Dale and Bonts out.
Stringer and Crameri in.

Noticed Roughy was hurting and could hardly get to his feet at the end of the GWS game.
I got the feeling from watching that he just went into a massive cramp. I think he'll be ok. He's probably not used to covering as much ground as he did playing through the middle.

OUT- Will Minson (team balance)
- Bailey Dale
- Marcus Bontempelli (inj?)
- Nathan Hrovat (team Balance)
- Joel Hamling
IN- Ayce Cordy
- Jake Stringer
- Stewart Crameri
- Toby McLean
- Michael Talia
