Changes vs the saints

My biggest query is whether we bring back talia to combat Bruce and Riewoldt.

Could we see Wilbur dropped? Not sure he provided that much with Roughy first ruck. Could bring Morris in for him, that would free up another tall (fletch or Hamling) who could float forward and back as needed.

Otherwise expect to see Crameri back too. Dale did well as Sub but seems the likely swap.

If we can bring in Crameri then it has to be a certainty! He makes us a better team. I want to see us completely smash the saints next week!!

Would be hard to make any changes based on that performance. But I agree we have to think of Morris/Talia playing against Riewoldt. Roberts isn't quick enough for him and Hamling will be cooked pretty quickly on him. Unless we get Wood to run with him if he is up the ground?
My other area of concern is playing three first year players at once. It didn't show at all last night which was great! But it can leave us somewhat vulnerable in my opinion. I think that we should play two on any given week with all four getting decent opportunities over the course of the year (Webb, Dale, McLean, Daniel). It really is such a promising draft year for us which is incredible given our picks, huge credit to Dalrymple.
So if we feel like we need to bring in Morris or Talia for Riewoldt then Hamling or Roberts out as a horses for courses thing (they both don't deserve to be dropped at all though).
And I would probably replace Webb (get a bit of confidence back) or Dale (get a full game) with Crameri if he is right (again they both don't deserve to be dropped).

Yep, if we do end up making the eight, we need Crameri to have games in his legs. You can see this season he's not quite reached match fitness and missing a few here and there won't be helping that. He's a real player though, and he does improve the team. He'd be a good finals player imo.

Hrovat just doesn't have enough impact as a small for my liking. He is not great in close and always seems to be getting caught with the ball.

Minson subbed out and Cordy on fire yesterday could see them switch. Cordy was hitting packs hard and taking marks with his arms above his head. Was great to see and hopefully if he does go in the seniors he can replicate it.

So thrilled with macrae's move into the middle as well. He's born to play in there.

Bonti, Wallis, Libba and macrae is a super, young inside core.

A little more polish through the middle and the midfield is almost set.

Dropping McLean after last night's game? Glad you're not on the selection panel. I agree Daniel should come in but it should be for Hrovat as they play the same role. Daniel would play it better. Crameri for Dale would be a bit of a no brainer though.

Don't think we need another key defender this week - happy to have Hamling on Riewoldt, Roberts on Bruce and Wood on Membrey.

I think the three possible ins are Daniel, Crameri and Cordy, with the three possible outs being Dale (hope not), Minson and Hrovat. That said - I wouldn't make any changes. Good balance last night I thought. Just need our defence to be a bit more awake than they were last night.

He really smashed the game he played before being elevated to the seniors. Had like 25+ touches and kicked 3 goals. Was everywhere. He's definitely a class above the VFL but just cant settle into a position. I want him in the midfield as a link up player but he seems to end up all over the place.
