Has anyone had a look at the latest Chopper Read book? There is quite a funny story regarding Daniel Chick's decision to stay at Hawthorn last year when the Eagles were sniffing around.
According to the book, Chopper's publisher (a well known crime journo and noted Hawthorn supporter-check out your old copies of Hawk Talk) asked if Chopper could help ensure Chicky stayed at the Hawks. Chopper sent a letter to Ken Judge at his home address warning him what would happen to him if Chicky went back west and that was the end of the matter-Chicky was staying at Hawthorn.
The story may be BS but I got a chuckle out of it nonetheless.
