I thought they actually did well note to be swayed by crowd noise. Made those four howlers (trip not paid, Shuey and darling goals, and marking free against Waite) even more perplexing. Will wait with interest (not really) for AFL announcement on them, as everybody is commenting.

My thoughts exactly. Not one person in the stadium would have been watching Darling and Tarrant 'holding'. To say they would have been swayed by crowd noise in that instance is wrong.

I thought the umpiring was appalling and went far beyond any sort of sub-conscious bias, I am just making the point that people expect human umpires to be impartial robots. It will never happen, even if you make them full time professionals.

It's 2015. What do you expect? Radio mics, Bluetooth technology, a wireless mic at every seat? Reporters bringing their own mics? Some AFL lackey at the front of the room pointing a directional mic at the questioner*? What does the AFL and channel 7 care if the public can't hear what's going on after the game?

* We even got to hear Abbott and one of his ministers joking privately at some conference about Fiji being under water due to global warming.

Adam Barillo is the bloke's name. He's another sometimes guest on the overnight show. He prefaced his comment by saying "I didn't actually see any of the game. I was at the Storm game and I only saw highlights." yet he felt he knew enough to make such comments in reviewing the game. Another class A flog named Adam on SEN overnight who can't hide his disdain for our club.

Yep that's him after i sent in my msg he admitted he was an Essendon supporter and hated North and that he shoud'nt show biased towards clubs.

I actually find BT quality, if you don't take him serious his nicknames and excitement are actually hilarious. "Big Boner Brown" is the best

He sounded close to tears in the post game when North got up against Richmond. He went very quiet in the box whenever North scored a goal in the first quarter against the Eagles. One was particularly telling, Ling threw to the box and there was just dead silence and Ling had to keep talking. Don't like BT and have the impression he despises our club.

SEN used to have some dog walker from Brunswick as an overnight guest. He used to tell us how he'd been down the pub having a few (a Luke Hodge 'few') pots before arriving at SEN.

Particularly obnoxious Hawthorn-supporting flog. Ever hear him TT?

I suspect that he eventually got his marching orders for being D&D on air (very professional). I'm a big SEN listener but strongly suspect SEN management is often asleep at the wheel.
