Never mind the umpires, I am still shitty about some of the kicking of our forwards. In particular drew, but also Waite and browns marking. That game was a real lost opportunity. I hope the players weren't too forgiving too early and stuck it too them a little. Better set shots and we are right in that gamw.

Drew was on radio the other day and he was asked about "regrets" and he said the set shots that he missed.

He does miss some sitters but I'm sure the new forward coach will be right onto it.

He was actually very good, he worked extremely hard and created opportunities for the other forwards at the expense of his individual game. He was integral to the way our forward line was working in 2014.

Wayne Carey obviously does not rate our youth or depth.

I have heard him say twice now that we have 23 games left to win a flag with this group.

I'm more confident than that.

I rate our depth and with some gutsy, smart recruiting and the addition of free agency, I don't see why we couldn't extend our window further

Putting a timeline on lists is only done when said list hasn't achieved anything. Hawthorn has built a dynasty around players in the last 20s/early 30s.

You'd think most of Petrie , Waite , dal , boomer , spud and wells might be gone this time next season.

That's a huge hole to fill especially in the kpf and outside mids area.

just finished watching the chosen few 2. tell you what Murphy, Jones and Swallow are probably two of the most impressive leaders in that lot.

rocky, cotchin and jobs don't seem like natural leaders for me.

I'm not a big advocate of what Melbourne did off the field with their tanking and stuff like that but i really would like to see Nathan Jones play finals football as a captain for that club, he is as genuine as they come, an old school footballer who is as loyal and hard working as they come.

I'm a good judge of character. Have nothing but respect for guys like him, especially in the face of their on field performances he gives his all week in week out. As i said he is the sort of bloke who I'd like to see have a lot of success.
