Last two years the media has chase the players they have believed to of signed with gws and gc. If the media jump on basti and there is no signature with north quickly he is gone. The media never really jump on to goldy, show u something. I reckon he be gone along to ben McEvoy, and one of Pendles or Hurley. Time will tell.

Thanks for the normal response, Kimbo. I've heard it from somebody who's normally spot on with news. The added factors are that Peter Bastinac (the father) played with Dandenong in the VFL with Phil Scully (Tom's dad and GWS scout). So the dad's are mates as well as the son's being close.

Scully, Treloar, Shiel, Buntine, Haynes are all Dandenong boys as is Bastinac. Some of them went to Caulfield Grammar with Tom Bugg. Build a core group of talented kids who are mates and you are more likely to be able to keep them. And they shouldn't find Western Sydney much of a culture change from Dandenong.

Bugg is best mates with Shiel, im not sure what thats got to do with Bastinac.


Scully went to Haileybury, Bastinac went to Hallam College, Treloar dropped out of school at 17, Buntine went to Beconhills in Pakenham and Haynes is from Frankston.

I'm not even slightly concerned about Harps and Atley. They're Victorian lads, they're getting games and the club's on the up. That and there's the real possibility that they signed a longer deal early on.

Hansen has only just been in the team recently. It was in both parties interests to hold off. If he keeps this form up, he'll be rewarded with a good deal.

LT has stated he'd basically never even consider leaving.

Made a few updates. I've put Atley and Harper into the 2013 group. I think it's fair to assume with GWS sniffing around that the club decided to give them initial 3 year deals. It's not that uncommon.

Yep fair assumption given the year Atley in particular has had.

I'd be pretty confident of Grima, McMillian McMahon getting 2 year deals. Loose maybe 3. roos_fanatic08 has mentioned a few times that Speight is contracted. Not sure if anyone else has mentioned it, or how good his source is...
