Does anyone know what the Bulleen Templestowe's charge is for? breach of player conduct, are we talking a failed drug test or something? I've heard a few stories about their reserves, since i've been involved in the vafa (2016 onwards) they've been bottom 2 or 3 so no u19s have obviously stuck around to be no good for that long

I was at their final home and away game... once it became clear they weren't going to win, they decided to blame the umpire for the loss. Post siren the players were lining up to have a crack at the field umpire... was ugly, but ump didn't seem to mind! He was giving it straight back to them.

Easy from the cheap seats.
Few facts for you.
In 8 seasons in D3 Canterbury have won 1 senior final. Reserves have failed to even play 1 final. Hardly an overly successful period.
No junior feed. Juniors stop at U/14s. Not one ex junior on the current playing list.
Relies on mates of mates to find players.
Home ground is getting renovated next year so the rooms will be out of action.
Aging list.
Coach has stood down.
Club unfortunately has a lack of volunteers. It relies on very few to keep it afloat.
Crock of shit, Canterbury have just posted a video with their new coach saying they’ve retained 90% of the list from last year. “Aging” please. Just sounds like a pathetic excuse to not go up so they can try and win a premiership when we all know they should’ve moved up over Wattle Park.

Have to agree. Pretty pathetic effort.

Wattle park were in div 2 as recent as 2018, they'll be fine, great set up with nice rooms there.

Won't be as easy for Canterbury as everyones making it out to be, lots of water to go under the bridge between now and round 1, other teams will strengthen

Covid years aside, the VAFA promoting a team from outside the "promotion zone" without their consent is unprecedented isn't it?
Surely, Canterbury are well within their rights to say no?

Lovely rooms, unless they have a function and punt the away teams (men and woman) into the cricket nets to get changed.

Has this happened? that is absolutely crazy and not on, if you can't provide proper change rooms you can't host the match. They won't get away with that in D2

Looks like Shem is on bigfooty.

There's no context that mitigates a cowards punch.
used to work with this prick's ex girlfriend. when i say girlfriend, i mean she was very early 20's when they went out.
he used to knock her around, so much so that when he was brought up at work, she started shaking and crying.
she had a very hard time getting out of the relationship and it scared the shit out of her for a long time

Are Wattle Park in the cricket nets as well? Or, just the opposition?
What happens if its freezing cold? Showers, etc?
Tough day at the office.
WPA are in pop-up marquees behind the back of the rooms, and the cricket nets are covered and have chairs and a rub down table provided.
Both sides have access to shower facilities after the game.
It's once a season and, once again, is raising money for breast cancer, which is something that has personally affected key members at the club.

The cause that the club is raising money for is a worthy one and one that is not being disputed, another solution needs to be found in regards housing opposition teams. Especially with the increase in triple-header matches where a womens match precedes a mens match.

What does the clubrooms have to do with playing footy? Their ground and rooms are a piece of shit anyway.
One of the top sides all year. Name some of the players that they will be losing outside of the 90% they’re saying they’ve kept. That could really stop them being a force to reckon with.
Well and truely shouldn’t have been asked the question. Never been a fair club and hopefully karma bites them in the ass for this decision.

Two posts on the account, both moaning about canterbury, aha, in the end they are in D3, big division which I'm sure will be fixtured kindly to the former division 4 clubs so they don't get hammered every week. Success is never guaranteed!

Good facilities go a long way for divisional clubs recruiting and keeping players. More the fact I was alluding to is they've been in D2 recently (wattle park). Aquinas and SMS staying put means it's a super open comp.
