You can gg in team games. Otherwise you just have to agree to feed, which is demoralising lol.

Nothing worse than having to finish a 45 minute game when 5 minutes in you know you have lost.
My one major gripe with this game, it wastes so much time.
Nice one. Gotta hate smashing your opposition early game and getting out carried. Just went 2 from 2 this morning. It's great playing hero's you know with people who communicate. Earthshaker is easily my favourite.Hawkpatrol606? I've added you, I'm Alkanphel101
Just played another with Blues4everr and we almost lost in first 10 mins but then we turtle'd and they couldn't break our base. We had a Medussa too and out-carried their entire team so we can back and won.
Sometimes you get lucky I guess.

Yeah my success rate on pub games is much higher as support, it's amazing how few people understand the role.I played Lion support but I hate it, I prefer to play as a carry, but on pubs everyone plays a carry just about so you need supports.
Yeah I come up against some heroes and I still don't know what their skills are. Enchantress is one of the ones that has made me look stupid, trying to attack her with -100 attack speed. That's why I'm trying to win 1 game with all the heroes A-Z. Before I was hopeless with anything but a support but I'm getting better at carrying.

Most games you would think are over after 5 minutes really aren't. It actually takes a ridiculous lead for a pub to be unwinnable as its basically guarenteed that your opponent will **** up at some point. The unwinnable situations are when your team gives up completely, or when you are relying heavily on a single hero to win you the game and the player doesn't know how to do it, or has given up on the game.
The 100% most important skill in dota is avoiding shitfights with your team, as both sides will usually be quite evenly matched in terms of player skill.
Depends on the heroes and the lane. If you have two melee in your safe lane (bottom for radiant, top for dire) then one of you can pull the neutral creeps. If you have two melee top and you can't deal with the lane then you should probably just let one player solo while the other goes bottom and trilanes, or tries to gank mid. It really does depend on the heroes though, as some double melee lanes can beat or at least match up against some double ranged. If you are getting smashed in lane though, the general rule would be "if you can't stay in lane, do something else".This is so true, although occasionally your team is so unbalanced and the respective players poorly skilled that it's a of a foregone conclusion. Something I'm not sure how to get around, is when you have two melay hero's against two good harass heros in lane. Seems to me that it requires the team to roam gank to quell their influence. Thoughts?
Yeah that sounds about right from my summation of the situation too. Seems like one tri-lane and one solo is the fad in team matches at the moment, although I'd prefer to be more flexible than that.Depends on the heroes and the lane. It really does depend on the heroes what you do of course. Someone like Clockwerk or Timbersaw should just leech xp, while bounty hunter or anyone with a decent stun/nuke can roam.
Just practice small comboes, like tornado emp and ignore all the other spells. Slowly add a new spell every now and then and it shouldn't overwhelm youAnyone play Invoker? Just started practicing with him, can't remember half his spells let alone combo etc...Skill ceiling is insane...
Think I should just stick to right clicking Drow thanks![]()

Sweet thread - Dote Up a Cat is my steam name at the moment, play this a fair bit.
Been playing that Invoker game and I have a few ways to remember things:
Cold Snap/Sun Strike/ EMP are easy as the triple Q/E/W
EEQ as in Eeek! it's the forge spirits
EEW as in eew a big meatball
WWE alacrity world wrestling entertainment
Tornado kind of makes a WWQ sound
QQE kind of sounds like ice (wall) crushing
Ghost walk is the QQWalk
Deafening blast is all 3.
Would love to except that in the location where I work, I can't even play online. Lucky work is 5 on 5 off, so still get games inThey're doing mini fantasy leagues if you pick up the $10 ASUS dream league ticket. You also get a bunch of awards depending on the level of ticket sales.
I've picked this up. Anyone interested in doing the fantasy league thing with me?
