My guess at our 5
Dustin (vics)
Riewoldt (all stars)
Edwards (All stars)
Grimes (Vics)
Lynch (Vics)
There was also an article last week saying Prestia had been bugging Dimma about being selected. However he’s coming off surgery I think isn’t he? So I don’t expect him to be picked.

Darcy Moore, Stefan Martin set to feature in Big V squad
Sam McClure and Daniel ChernyFebruary 17, 2020 — 6.44pm

Collingwood star Darcy Moore is poised to follow in his father’s footsteps by representing Victoria in next Friday night's state of origin clash with the All-Stars, while the 'Big V' squad will also feature Brisbane Lions ruckman Stefan Martin.

Gun West Coast off-season recruit Tim Kelly will not feature for the combined All-Stars side with the Eagles taking a conservative approach to player availability.

The injury-prone Moore was a late call-up to the Victorian squad, which Damien Hardwick will coach, after league boss Gillon McLachlan personally scrapped the original rule that capped the number of players from each team.

He will become the second generation of Moores to represent the 'Big V', after his father Peter played for Victoria in 1984.

Moore jnr will be one of five Magpies to be named across the two squads on Tuesday, with Pies captain Scott Pendlebury, midfield dynamo Steele Sidebottom, South Australian ruckman Brodie Grundy and Tasmanian Jeremy Howe also set to feature.

Richmond will have six representatives in the squads, with forward guns Tom Lynch and Jack Riewoldt joining Brownlow medallist Dustin Martin.

Greater Western Sydney, the 2019 runner-up, will have five players across the squads, including All-Stars Phil Davis and Stephen Coniglio, along with Victorians Josh Kelly, Lachie Whitfield and Jeremy Cameron.

Toby Greene is unlikely to play because of a minor knee injury, while rebounding defender Zac Williams is set to miss it as his pre-season load is managed.

The Lions will be heavily represented in the bushfire relief charity match, with Martin set to be one of five Brisbane players named on Tuesday. With superstar big man Max Gawn recovering from a knee injury, Martin will be part of the Victorian ruck stocks.

Lions teammates Lachie Neale (South Australia), and Queenslanders Charlie Cameron, Harris Andrews and Dayne Zorko will all feature in the All-Stars squad coached by Sydney's John Longmire.

West Coast have deemed West Australian midfield star Kelly unavailable for the clash as he gears up for his first season with the club after being traded from Geelong.

All 18 clubs must be represented across the squads and sources have told The Age three clubs – Fremantle, Melbourne and Gold Coast – have only one player selected for the match at Marvel Stadium, which will be preceded by a Dees-Pies AFLW clash. The origin squads were initially set to be limited to three players per AFL club before the league - after prodding from the coaches - decided to change the selection criteria.

Several of the league's best players, including Gawn and Sydney champion Lance Franklin, will miss the match following pre-season injury issues.
Hawthorn coach Alastair Clarkson will be one of Hardwick's assistants in a Victorian coaching panel also featuring Tigers assistant Adam Kinglsey, Collingwood's Robert Harvey and Gold Coast's Dean Solomon.

Stuart Dew, Michael Voss, Mark McVeigh, Joel Corey and Dean Cox will assist Longmire.

All proceeds from ticket sales for the match will go to the community relief fund the AFL established. State of origin hasn't been played since 1999 although Victoria played a composite Dream Team in 2008 to mark the 150th anniversary of Australian football.

Brisbane, Richmond, Collingwood and GWS fans will be happy.

Glad Dimma picked Stef Martin, however they said Ruck Stocks so Goldstein will probably be picked unless there’s another vic ruckman that I haven’t heard of. Sad Gawn won’t be out there, probably the only Melbourne player I like.

Also I feel like a traitor but come on how good is it going to be seeing Tom Lynch and Jeremy Cameron in the same forward line! The two clear best key forwards of their generation imo.

DO NOT GET INJURED. I know it is for charity, but at the end of the day you are paid by your club to win games. Same reason SOO in League makes no sense to me nor do I care. Would shut the blinds and call the cops if they played on my front lawn

Hardwick should pick all the Pies/WCE/Cats blokes he can and try to run them into the ground. Hope they get smashed.

Happy for our guns to be 'managed' with 'general soreness' etc.
