OK, so Armstrong has requested a trade to Sydney, likely for a swap with Sumner.
Anyone know what kind of player he is?
To be perfectly honest i know almost nothing about him.

He's a running half back flanker who could play as a wingman. He has above average foot speed and very neat disposal over short to medium distances. Not a hugely prolific ball winner but a useful contributor, and has the potential to be a decent player at AFL level for the Swans, someone who could hold down a spot from 18th to 25th if he maintained consistency.OK, so Armstrong has requested a trade to Sydney, likely for a swap with Sumner.

I'd leave him to GWS, have too many HBF already.
IMO, we should aim for:
Key forward
Outside mid with excellent disposal
Small forward.
Lacking all of those at the moment. Yes McGlynn, etc, might fill in at FP but we need specialists in all positions. Not fill-ins.

Would be interested in getting Armstrong if it was only for a straight swap with summer. How do we have enough hbf's? Kennely gone, mal and Heath with chronic knee problems.
I wasn't aware of Armstrong's past. I hope he's not a headcase.
is he a good kick, as that is really what we need in the team
Serious issues with homesickness, he was on the verge of walking out a couple of times. I believe his mum actually moved to Adelaide for a while to help him settleI know of a DUI.
That's all though, if there's any more does anyone care to add to that?

Ability to hit a target and no physical game whatsoever? Sounds like he's the complete opposite of every other player on our list.
I've no doubt the Swans have been in his ear which is why he's specifically requested us as opposed to 'either Sydney team'. They've obviously identified him as a player who will fit into our lineup, and still has plenty of years in front of him. Our track record here is pretty good (if you ignore the likes of Paul Chambers), so I think he'll fit in well.
The only question is what it costs us.
