We continue our good form on milestone games for larrikin and Itsmyshow

Another key game to capitalise on our recent win, and before the game there was celebrations for larrikin's 450th game and Itsmyshow's 150th Hawks game:

It meant that going into the Bombers game we were ready to work as a team to win. Although it would be tricky with our opponents sitting 2nd on the ladder. We got the first goal which was a great start involving 4 players and a goal from PMBangers :

1 : 1.4 {rHFF} - TY24 breaks a tackle and is off.
1 : 1.45 {rHFF} - Finds Hate with a handball.
1 : 1.49 {lFP} - Gets onto his preferred foot and boots it long.
1 : 1.52 {lFP} - Anybody's ball.
1 : 1.57 {lFP} - 11kgm assessing what lies ahead of him.
1 : 2.01 {lFP} - Hands it off to PMBangers.
1 : 2.07 {lFP} - PMBangers has a shot at goal.
1 : 2.11 {lFP} - It's a goal.
East Side Hawks : 1.0.6
Baghdad Bombers : 0.0.0

We traded goals for goals in the first 3 quarters - with the goals reasonably spread. It would go to the final quarter. Who will step up?

And as it turned up - it was eth-dog (3 goals) and Milera2Betts (5 goals, 3 in the final quarter). What might have been our best performance of the season to pull away from the Bombers. In the end, we scored 6 goals in that quarter in a confidence boosting performance. Another 8 tackles for PMBangers and Hate pulling together 7 tackles from the ruck of his own. BOG larrikin had 25 disposals with 10 marks.

We move onto a massive game against the Furies. We're on 5-7 now, can we move closer to finals? We'll find out next week!

Three wins in a row now as we adapt better to the muddy conditions

After 2 wins we had another huge game against the Furies. We needed to win to stay close to the pack.

Though we had the edge because we heard that there would be muddy conditions, and it came to be:


When the match started, we immediately implemented a goal right from the training ground from Itsmyshow , assisted by Zoops :

1 : 2.38 {lHBF} - Rioli8217 coughs it up to Zoops.
1 : 2.42 {lHFF} - Itsmyshow signals for his teammates to present.
1 : 3.01 {lHFF} - Itsmyshow sizes the options in front of him.
1 : 3.07 {lHFF} - Now has it got the carry?.
1 : 3.13 {lHFF} - Itsmyshow gives some to the crowd after that goal.

Fighting Furies FFC : 0.0.0

We were ahead for the whole game, with the changes working well.

Hate was BOG with 21 disposals, 3 tackles and a goal - but it was a great team effort.

The trick is to not listen to the runner when being dragged.

Stats are not stats unless they are stats:

• We're going streaking! 3 on the trot is out best win streak since Rd15-17 in S29.
• Round 13 saw Agent93 captain his 93rd game for the club.
• Hate and por_please_ya both reached the 1000 DT mark, with the former finishing the game on a deliciously even 1000 for the season.
• Chipmunk became the 6th Hawk to reach the 200 disposals which is odd given he's played exclusively on the ruck line this season.
• Way back in Round 12 SM notched his 2000th career kick.
