Boo him for ducking all you ******* want. I don’t give two shits about boo’ing. Im sure you did boo him when it happened, thats great!!

But the game is over, and it is the ANZAC day award ceremony. Have some class.
i guess if youre comfy with your team cheating you'd be pretty comfy with booing a champion

Your mob would know about near enough. Plenty of times you’ve finished runner up in the grand final.
True that, when we go past you we will do it clean.

Andas an aside the best day of my life was that glorious day in 1990! Sat right behind your cheers squad on level 2, and I’m sure Paul salmons Dad was right in front of me! Oh man that was so so so so good!

The booing was terrible. More calls went against the bombers than Collingwood. But the most damaging one was the goal Essendon kicked
For a hold on Langdon.

The key thing people think umpires change the result. Sheil burnt the ball consistently which cost them more.

Umpires don’t tend to change results. Players do.

no mention of the two soft frees that gifted them goals. quite a melt down actually
Don't be silly mate.

No point talking about the umpiring unless we're blaming it on a loss. I've heard it for years. Sydney supporters are still convinced the umpires cost them the '16 grand final.

Weak as piss by Woosha for not calling it out. Bucks made him look stupid by demonstrating leadership. The flog didn’t even take a strong stand in his presser.

Secretly, the AFL would be loving this.

As they say, any news is good news.

All this hatred being spewed out, creates interest in the game and the cash registers rolling.

give the 'ANZAC day award ceremony" a spell. It's a game of football and the players and fans will act like they do at any other game of football
See thats the thing.
‘Its a game of football.. fans will act like they do at any other game of football’
I have a question - would you excuse a football fan ‘just acting like any other game’ and yelling out during the minute silence? Doubt it.
Its a different day. One of respect. If you cannot see that, you are un-australian.

Which they'd already been doing for 5 mins post match.

During the medal ceremony is a time to show a bit of respect. This wasn't even a game you nearly won as you never hit the front. It's frustrating to get close, but much tougher when you've been winning and had it snatched away. This game was the Pies all the way, the Bombers just almost stole it, they never owned it.

Most fans accept booing during a game or displeasure at umpiring. Once that's been done and has come to a stop, as it had here, it's poor form and very unusual for it to start up again as a player accepts a medal. I can only remember this happening in a derby when Judd won the medal in a losing effort (wow, back in 2006). Plenty of games with poor umpiring decisions and tough losses, but behaviour like we saw today is very, very rare.
This wasnt a normal game for many bomber fans. We got very close to a far superior opponent despite what most felt was poor umpiring, hence the high level of frustration. Fans were angry, hence the boos

Wow poor you.

You peaked 29 years ago.

I wasn’t born then, so it doesn’t affect me if we lost that game.

Yep, and beating carlton was the cherry on top. Uh-oh, that might trigger 1970, 1979, 1981 memories.....

Interesting ethical dilemma.

It’s nice to be on the good guy side for a change! Your 100% right, I thought the same thing!
