Higgins, if he was 6-7 years younger he’d be talked about a lot more. Complete player, inside, outside, running all day kicking goals. Quite remarkable for someone 30 to be having a career best season.

For starters, Fyfe is over rated against other elite mids. Fyfe's disposal is questionable at elite level and does not hurt teams like other mids when on fire - re Martin, Danger, Gray. Cripps is a far better footballer than Fyfe if comparing big bodied mids in peak of career. Swans Kennedy moving into back end of career but far more accomplished.

Mitchell would have to be #1 for all round mid 2018
The best thing is Cripps hasn’t reached his peak yet. Once he has 4-5 mids around him that are 23 years old plus then look out.

Darren Eho, Dandenong Stingrays, ruck/forward, 199cm/101 kg
Eho is one of the most exciting ruckmen in a draft crop for years. What most clubs like is his potential to actually play elsewhere. His height has seen him concentrate in the ruck in his junior career, but he's been thrown forward and occasionally back for Vic Country this year with massive results. His agility and handball results at the combine (top 10) means he is also a possible candidate as a monster rover. His biggest knocks have been inconsistency and work ethic, with coaches frustrated at his lack of work outside of scheduled training. His kicking can be erratic under pressure with some disappointing decision making. Unlikely to go pick 1, he's most likely to find himself at Gold Coast, Essendon, or Fremantle. The issue for these clubs is that he can't be in all four areas at once.

2018 mid-season review: Darren Eho, Essendon, utility, 200cm/99 kg
Eho was a hotly contested prospect in the 2017 draft with late rumours suggesting he could be a pick one. However he found himself at the Essendon Football Club. Growing up a ruckman, he displayed nous as a forward with some respectable displays as full back but was always seen as a modern midfielder. Immediately put into that position, Eho has thrived as the Bombers ruckman outside of centre bounces. Often roving his own ball, his handpasses have unlocked the congestion that has epitomised 2018. His kicking has let him down on occasion but there are far too many strengths in his game to focus on that. He's gone forward to rest and his 12.5 outcome so far suggests a fall back as Joe Daniher's sidekick. Eho is the clear favourite for the Rising Star and has already been offered a four-year extension at Tullamarine.

Thread in round 2, 2022: Is Darren Eho the most disappointing Rising Star winner since Rhys Palmer?

This guy dominated in his first two seasons and looked to even give the Brownlow a nudge before he was 20. Now he's lethargic, lazy, and has lost that powerful handball and presence he had. Being used as a ruck and then chucked in the forward line it looks like the bombers have no idea what to do with this bloke anymore. Looks low on confidence and probably lucky to have not been dropped. Got another year after this (do bombers fans regret offering him a big contract so early on?) but I wonder what his currency is?

Just posting his draft prospect review and season review from essendonfc.com.au, couldn't see it posted elsewhere?

Ohhhhhh DARREN Eho, yeah I'm with you. Disappointing the last few seasons but I'd still take him at my club

His brother was at the Hawks? North? for a couple of seasons, don't think he cracked 10 games. Big lanky unco.
