Yea, if you're either quite bad or quite good, they'll come after you.

I'm evil as **** at the moment :(

Accidently did two things which absolutely wrecked my karma just before tranquility lane (whish trashes it), and from then of have struggled to get it anything about 'evil.'

Tranquility lane is beyond awesome btw :D and you can get out while actually raising your karma ;)

How?
I'm guessing it relates to making the right tunes with a combination of the items in the abandoned house?

Yeah, while I was doing the 'split up the marriage' quest someone random came up to me and told me to stop helping him out and go the abandoned house and shut down the charade. You play with the items a bit, a hidden console comes up and theres a failsafe mode you can choose which helps you shut it all down - with the help of the Chinese army :P

Ahh forget it I found the lil bitch lol weird how she isn't there then is  Having good fun with this game, for those experienced people out there what level should I be when heading to Rivet City and is it important you do missions like e.g Enslave those particular people etc before you go there? Also is it hard to get there?

Cheers.

Ohhhhh I think I know what that swimming part is, is that swimming area the part after you verse those creatures (sorry forgot their names) and they have like king versions of them, like you have to go through a underground tunnel way then go into one of those lair things where the eggs and stuff are. Sorry for my piss poor explanation not even I know what I am saying really. Because I was in that area just to explore kinda thing and I opened this door and it was just water everywhere so i tried swim and yeah ran out of oxygen and he deaaaaaaaaaad.

What level is recommended when you get your 100 lockpicking (far away from it...) and when you get into rivet city

Rivet City you can head to at any time. The only problem is some super mutant along the way. There is no actual fighting at the city. There are just a few little missions you can do there. Moira thing/android thing/that kid from Graveage thing. If you have them then go.

You'd have to swim under the boat to get in without the lock pick. You'd have a few of those crab creatures to knock off as well.

I have played this game for 23 hours, and only completed the Blood ties and a couple of Moira tasks story wise.

Its HUGE.

I'm a level 8... definately think i might sorta run through now so i can start a different character type

Great game so far. Been playing it for about 8 or so hours total but I haven't got all that far. Mainly because I...

CANNOT STOP BLOWING WADSWORTH UP WITH FRAG GRENADES! :D

Hahaha, I let myself get sidetracked too at one stage, I was luring Deathclaws into a small village and watching the chaos that ensured. The NPC's would all start shooting at the deathclaw, it ran around 1 shotting the NPC's. Good fun for half an hour, trying to get more NPC's involved.

Awesome game, so much better than Oblivion it isn't funny. You can see the simularites, and this is just a different paintover, but it is so much more polished than its predecessor.

To save me from going to one of those biased game websites, can someone tell me what the general idea of this game is? What's the main objective(s)?

As the title suggests it's a third instalment of a series. Original two were an open range RPG style game for the PC. Fallout 3 is set in the same world as the other two however your character has no "known" connection to the other two.

The game is set many years after a nuclear holocaust and you emerge from a bomb shelter to tackle the many wonders and dangers of the wasteland. The game is a choose your own adventure style game play with your actions dictating how those around you react. You can be subtle or just shoot, good or bad or somewhere in between is up to you.

The game itself can be played first person, third person or using the VATS system turned base in combat (which is brilliant). If you like a game that is fairly open ended and develop a character as you get experience points then you will be on a winner with this one.

The game has a long shelf life too as it is a long game to play and no two game experiences will be the same.

Anyone else love the tunes in this game? I love slaughtering all the citizens of Megaton with a sledgehammer whilst this plays in the background:

He's hackin' and wackin' and smackin'
He's hackin' and wackin' and smackin'
He's hackin' and wackin' and smackin'
He just hacks, wacks, choppin' that meat

:D

"I don't want to set the world on fire" is possibly the best thing about the game

So bongo, bongo, bongo I don’t want to leave the congo
Oh no no no no no
Bingle, bangle, bungle I’m so happy in the jungle I refuse to go

HAhahaha:D

Walking around an abandoned subway with that playing, where a feral ghoul could jump out at any moment and scratch your face off, is a very cool experience:D

Anyone who hasn't made a shishkebab, do it. Its the perfect way to take down any unarmed enemy, like animals, and its unlimited ammo:thumbsu:. Usually takes 1, max 2 hits.

If you don't know to get one
Do the blood ties mission which begins in arefu, usually one of the family members in the subway has one. Otherwise i think the schematic is at their hideout on the workbench, and all the needed parts are close by:thumbsu:

Another fave from Galaxy news radio

That's a pretty solid overview of the game.

If you liked Oblivion you will LOVE this.

Yeah........... with the songs you guys are talking about, I assume you have the radio blaring while you are walking along?? I haven't even bothered turning that on really.

I take it, the atmosphere doesn't get hurt by that music? Can creatures/mutants etc hear the music??

Might have to crank some beats tonight.

Your pip-boy has a radio on it. Theres generally 2 stations going - Enclave which is just Malcolm McDowell sprouting propaganda at you inbetween some cool old american war tunes, and Galaxy News Radio which has the swinging 40's/50's beats inbetween some guy telling stories about all your deeds in the Capitol Wasteland.

I think the radio does affect your stealth. The light sure does.

I admittedly usually only use it when wandering the wastes. But its fun to have it on when its dark and scary sometimes. Adds rather than takes away from the atmosphere. Just like it did in bioshock.

Got a question for anyone whos finished or almost finished the game

Currently doing the garden of eden mission and have been wandering round in some random underground place for ages, im up to the part where i cant go further because theres radiation in the halls. Anyone know if im going in the right direction because vault 87 seems ages away on the world map.
