I'd be rotating different players through, the idea is not to totally throw the kids all together at once, but at the same time we need to accelerate getting games into them and seeing who sinks or swims.

Need to ensure all of Sonsie, Cumberland, Banks, Dow, Ross, Biggy, Miller, Bauer, Ryan, Gibcus, Rioli Jr, Clarke, Brown all play 5-10 of the remaining games (if/when fit).

If that means dropping or managing some of the older guys more than planned then so be it, favour games of the above ahead of guys like Riewoldt, Tarrant, Cotchin, Grimes, Nankervis, Macintosh, Pickett, Prestia if we have to. It's the way forward.

We need to get a new mobile KPF to replace Jack, another AFL standard ruckmen and new assistant coaches.

So give Bauer and Bradtke games and use the mid season draft on a big lug state ruckmen that is physically ready and can compete at AFL level straight away.

And get some games into Banks, Brown, Sonsie, Cumberland and the rest of the kids.

* Announce Dimma will be leaving at the end of the season along with most assistant coaches. Go through thorough process to take on the role.

* Sack Matt Clarke now and headhunt a top line recruitment boss for end of year. If one only comes after the draft this year, just have Blair do the work until then.

* Get Cotchin to 300 have that as his farewell game.

* Announce that this season is Jacks last for sure, celebrate him to the end but give him plenty of weeks off. Poor bloke is absolutely shot.

* Play kids. We are losing our first pick this year which will hurt for years and years to come but we need games into these kids and to see who can play at the level. All the kids should play at least 3 games.

* Announce we are done with two ******* captains. Say both Nank and Grimes won’t be captains next season.

* Really assess how we get back into the first round. No player is off the table except Bolton.

* Hit the draft hard. Bring in kids who can ******* run, kick and aren’t scared to sleep with the lights on at night.

If we had cumbo in we could have won this game i reckon, bad move not giving him another crack.

The 2021 draft is gonna be super important
Now with where we are at list wise
Gibcus we know will.be a player but if the rest turn out to be duds we are in deep s**t.

Given we passed on Jacob Van Rooyen too, a position of need, Tom Brown becomes critical.

I reckon we also need Sonsie at least to make it, because our midfield lacks future prospects.

Not banking on Matt Clarke getting it right. If this draft doesn’t work we are in wilderness.

Brown can’t get on the park, Sonsie has gone backwards, Judson meh, Banks we don’t know how he will go at the next level. So many questions here.

If these guys fail, we are in for a long period of hurt.

It's now a 3 year plan. Where we will be in 2026? Still have alot of guys to clear out.

Reiwoldt Grimes Cotchin Martin Pickett Broad Prestia Mcntosh and probably by then Nank and Vlastuin and Lynch.

We've got 3 years to get players in by then and actually play them.

The upside is we at least have guys like Balta, Gibcus Rioli Bolton, Baker Short, Cumberland, Taranto and Hopper who can all play.

Till then we will finish 12th to 15th.

It’s scary what and where we’ll be at in 18 months time. The crop of kids we have don’t really fill me with any confidence and then no coming first round pick is frightening considering we’re going to finish low on the ladder. Then add all the upcoming retirements. I thought the Taranto and hopper trades were great at the time as I thought we’d get two more years from our jets, but seeing them this year they’re cooked and now the rebuild will take longer.

LOL A center line of 2 players that have never played and Ross. We would lose to West Coast by 150 points with that lineup and may not score against a team like Melbourne. We aren't just kicking Grimes, Prestia, Riewoldt, Graham, Cotchin, McIntosh and all our premiership players out of the club midseason.

We have to be realistic though, its way longer than 3 years. There is no way we will be better in 3 years than we are now, we will probably be significantly worse but hopefully on the right track. I mean that list of players to replace has about 9 guns in it. If we are lucky we could jag 1 of that quality outside the first round of the draft in the next few years. The rest we are relying on first rounders, Free Agency and trade and that is going to take a lot longer than 3 years.

Correct, it's not our current line up that's letting us down it's the game plan it's changed from last year and it's shizen.

Last year Lynch was playing at an elite level. When he didn't play we were terrible. We simply don't have a long outlet kick, if he plays last night we win by 6-8 goals comfortably and we surely beat the dogs if he could have moved in the 2nd half. Who knows against GC or Melbourne but the whole season would be looking different.

Then if he didnt get injured last year against GC when he did, we comfortably beat GC, North and Freo, as well as the swans game he missed earlier in the season and we are in the top 4 easily.

Now clearly the teams we are playing have far more injuries than us, but weve virtually put the whole season on Lynch not getting injured, and it didn't happen.

The problem is we sold the farm to get hopper and taranto who are decent players but not elite. We tried to solve a problem we had with contested posseions in the middle by filling in the gaps but unfortuanately we have problems elsewhere as well like key postion players, our forward line without lynch is screwed and we don't have proper elite fullback like a Rance and etc...

Yep, but if Lynch didnt get injured we would be comfortably in the 8 and everyone would be talking up exactly the same players that they are criticizing now. He's the one player we couldnt afford to have get injured. But he did, so it's over now.

I just posted that we don't have any back up key postion players and yes we are screwed until we either find some young uns to fill them in for the future or we start shopping for them in the off season.

Don't know it's sad looking at the list and how many more retiring this season and get sadder looking at the recruits and seen a mature age showing something while the rest are meow. Amazing how mcrae leppa took our game plan and make it unbeatable while we had to change for the better lol

I just think we need a new game plan, what we're doing now isn't working, we get it in our forward line and can't score, then the oppo's get it in theirs and do. What's up with that, our defense against the Bombers was good, we looked great getting it out of there often, but our forward line is congested, we bomb it in and it gets repelled time after time. Sure we miss Lynch but he's not the messiah and can only do so much. Saw Dusty actually lead and mark the ball the other night and kicked a great goal, how many times do we see our forwards do that lately, not often, not often enough, other teams can do it why can't we?
