Private owners. Just want make money and sell the business. Don't care if they ruin the business. We need owners like the Bianco's who loved the game.
 
Adelaide United is well placed being able to recruit all the young players they need from the local development leagues at near minimal cos to no cost. The contract structure in the local league is near nonexistent. A young kid would want to go there for the superior training and exposure at higher levels. A license to print money.
If a player is transferred overseas the junior club get a small percentage of the transfer.

Similar to how the AFL gets locally developed players from local clubs at minimal cost.
