Yep- but it’s their job -they don’t play for us anymore-so they have to say what they think. And Hawkins deserved the week.
The trouble with Ling is that he over compensates for his connections to Geelong and says silly things a fair bit. Eg. If he called the kid a diver that is incorrect and really poor.

Still can’t work out wtf happened in the 3rd quarter. Did we have a bunch of guys injured? Why wasn’t danger in the guts? Why did Stewart start on the bench? Why did Guthrie disappear? And my main question, why did hendo spend 95% game time forward? I wasn’t too upset about hendo getting a run on the assumption that he’d be played back and Taylor forward but that never happened. Idiotic to say the least. After the first 3 goals lynch kicked on Harry, why wasn’t the match up changed? Blitz forward of centre is an absolute s**t show. He has never been able to kick. The only position he should play is defensive. So many questions. So over it.

Sure he’s a great story but he’s no longer an option as a utilityIMHO
Even his endurance which is still amazing is nowhere what it was as he’s significantly heavier
He’s a pinch hit occasional ruckman at best and he’s never been quick or had footy smarts so FFS don’t play him on full time elite wingers - that’s madness
He kept Lynch to 9 touches and a goal last time so why the feck would you not play him at FB in a cut throat final
We’ll never know if it was the difference but if he restricts him to 2or 3 who knows?
Blitz needs to own FB from now on and use his leadership and more than adequate endurance to cause havoc- and Scott needs to assess his players strengths better and be consistent and not try to showcase something that’s no longer there

What was his average number of tackles in the first 10 weeks? If we can get 10 games like that more evenly spread over a season then it will be handy. At his best, defenders were crapping themselves any time he was near them. It may not have always resulted in a tackle but it would often make the opposition dispose of the ball in a panic.

First 10 games? 20 tackles = 2 tackles per game.

For the entire season, 34 tackles in 19 games. The lowest tackle average in his career.

Another in the Constable thread stated he'd heard something about Constable, and it sounds eerily similar.

I strongly doubt bringing in a slow inside midfielder who is in the reserves because he ball watches and doesn't follow his man would be the right man in, especially when Richmond got on top by running the ball in waves, at pace, on turnover. His weakness is precisely the method Richmond used to get back into the game and we already had enough midfielders being lazy with their accountability.
