One thing that pi**ed me off in the 3rd quarter was when Caddy and a few other Tiger players were getting into Miers after they thought he dived when Houli whacked him while he was on the mark, not one teammate flew the flag to help the kid out, apart from one player giving a token shove to Caddy when he was running off.

Wouldn't have seen that when the likes of Chappy, Scarlo and Moons were running around.

2019 Footy does not allow for squaring up flying the flag or anything else remotely aggressive. Ends up with 50 m penalties a run of free kicks against..because sport is played between the ears and so is the umpiring.

Chris Scott is the worst game day coach I have ever seen. He does nothing, blind Freddy could see Taylor on Lynch wasn’t working, he did nothing. Blitz completely ineffective on the wing, fu** it, just leave him there. Danger having a mare of a second half ow well let’s try nothing to get home into the game.

The Tigers adjusted at half time and Scott has no answers when plan A stops working.

And Taylor has to take some responsibility wtf was he doing taking off like a gazelle up the field.

I can understand leaving blicavs on the wing until half time because it was technically working outside of the early 2 goals but **** me after half time I'm not sure what you are thinking game of adjustments and those two crucial decisions in this finals series Stanley not playing Collingwood & the best defender Geelong have at Full back not playing at full back on lynch. Basically just let two of the most dangerous players from a game perspective have favourable matchups. Harry just doesn't have the mobility to go with a young man like lynch anymore.

Blicavs decision making up field has always been questionable blicavs his skills by foot just aren't what you want from someone on a wing or on ball.

Most of those were in the first half and we had opportunity to put the Tigers out of the game by really breaking it open with a 4/5+ goal lead, but instead we kicked behinds until Danger was gifted a 50m right before half time

We play the second half as we did the first half and we win - we showed that we had the cattle who could do that. But instead, Richmond lifted and suddenly we couldn't take that extra step or moment for composure, we didn't have time to wait for balls in the air, we started missing simple targets and even when there was no pressure we perceived their to be some and screwed ourselves.

The 22 out there tonight should absolutely be commended, along with the rest of the club, likewise for last week.
HOWEVER, this prelim failure absolutely sits at the feet of a dickhead (Hawkins) and the players who didn't turn up vs the Pies.
Hawkins plays, we win. Hendo tried his heart out no doubt, but especially in that second half when opportunities started to dry up there's no doubt a few of those kicks inside 50 would have gone to Tom, likewise in the first half when we had the momentum, he'd have snared 2 or 3 himself and we'd have been further in front.

He's not the reason why we lost but I just don't see the point of Blicavs playing when he's not in defence or rucking. 10 possessions on the wing is basically a man down. I thought we had moved past hamstringing ourselves a few years ago when we used to play him there. Obviously not. He has clear deficiencies in his game and the club just seems to pretend they don't exist. He's slow and he can't kick, so play him in defence or the ruck where he doesn't have to call on those skills frequently or don't play him at all.

Sidenote: bravo Tim Kelly. As a potential last game for us he stood up when others couldn't. Thanks for your efforts.

It was a move that just had to be made. Would it have made the difference? Who knows? But he wasn’t influencing the game on a wing and plays his best footy deep in defence. It was the move that had to be made.

O’Connor did some good things but showed his rawness at times. Thought he was better than Henry tonight. Some of his errors were terrible.

Hard marking in Atkins when the ball simply wasn’t around him much in the second half, he’s a big plus going forward especially when he looked cooked 2/3rds through the season.

Gutted. Just needed to hold on in that third quarter and break even. Shit the bed though in 2nd half. Dumb as FK not playing Blicavs back. Made the mistake of trying to protect the lead instead of attacking like the first half.
Hawkins you need to go see a shrink and stop belting blokes. Long road back next year. Hopefully we get everyone fit and some top notch trades for Kelly.
