Abbott and Fort are both contracted for next year. They won't be going anywhere.

We had a big clean-out at the end of last year so I think they'll be loathe to do it again.

Henderson might get another year with the proviso he may play most of all in the VFL.

Jones may also be on shaky ground, and who knows with Cunico. Hope he gets another at least after spending all of this year on the sidelines.

It's why Richmond became a good team, they don't get cute, they don't experiment.
They have the same players in the same positions and roles week in week out.. And the confidence grows, they learn and develop an instinct for where each other will be, what they will do with it and that only fuels the confidence and makes them even harder to stop.

All the talk of Scott not having plan B are absolute horses**t, if anything he gets too cute and plays with the game plan too much... Which causes the side to never truely settle

It seems like he plays with it too much when it *isn't* necessary (players out of their best position before the first bounce for eg) and then sits on his hands when a change *is* necessary - like when Lynch was reaming us last night in Q3. Poor coaching I'd say!

Blicavs to FB and Kolo as he's partner in crime. Kolo did the job on Jack last night, and really could/should have been Blicavs on Lynch.

And without Taylor or Henderson in the team, it forces that match up which gives us better balance

If you look at the MVP. Cat players didn’t even vote him a chance despite him being possibly the best player in AFL.
The fringe players at cats probably not comfortable around Danger I would think.
Whereas dusty is one of the boys and he doesn’t care if you’re Cotchin, riewoldt or fringe.

He's played 125 games in ten seasons. He STILL averages less than 10 touches a game. Turns 29 next year.

Anyone who thinks his drop in form is some kind of aberration of a one off hasn't paid proper attention. It was always a good chance of occurring which plenty of us pointed out before he signed. It is not a surprise.

Fun fact: this season was his lowest average in tackles per match for his entire career.

What was his average number of tackles in the first 10 weeks? If we can get 10 games like that more evenly spread over a season then it will be handy. At his best, defenders were crapping themselves any time he was near them. It may not have always resulted in a tackle but it would often make the opposition dispose of the ball in a panic.

I hated seeing Taylor playing so deep in defence, especially on Lynch.

He's a CHB and If anything should have either played on Riewoldt or as loose man in defence while Blicavs and Kolo took the two KPP.

IMO really poor coaching and one of the reasons why we lost the game.

If Duncan wasn't injured, allowing Blitz to play at FB we probably win. If we took our chances in the first half we probably win. I feel like we've taken a major step forward this finals series since the QF. We might drop down a bit next year due to our older players but I'm optimistic.

Kolo was very good last night but I consider him more a third tall rather than a true KPD. He’s also versatile - having played on everyone from Riewoldt to De Goey this season.

We’re certainly all in agreement that Blicavs should be starting round 1 in the FB role.

Still can’t work out wtf happened in the 3rd quarter. Did we have a bunch of guys injured? Why wasn’t danger in the guts? Why did Stewart start on the bench? Why did Guthrie disappear? And my main question, why did hendo spend 95% game time forward? I wasn’t too upset about hendo getting a run on the assumption that he’d be played back and Taylor forward but that never happened. Idiotic to say the least. After the first 3 goals lynch kicked on Harry, why wasn’t the match up changed? Blitz forward of centre is an absolute shit show. He has never been able to kick. The only position he should play is defensive. So many questions. So over it.
