Its all good just helps set the bar as far as discussion goes instead of ridiculous trade suggestions, great work Im impressed.

worse case I have to bump the rookies up to 120k each a few would lose 10-20k here and there, I guess its not that silly to think without cola the list is fine would be my point

but we also have scope to ditch say Armstrong for a 300- 400k type player maybe allowing 500k for errors in judgement in my figures

I think that's the minimum you pay them, but in terms of cap you apparently have to have space for 120k so if they play, you pay them. This is as per Pykie, one of the drafting wizzes. I'd back in a lot of what he says with the technicalities of the draft.

A few league clubs like the Tigers (believe it or not) have got into "trouble" with this in the past. If you don;t allow for it and you have a heap of injuries and play a lot of unexpected players in the top grade it can really screw it around.

Technical breaches they call them and clubs self report pretty quickly with the explanation- still get done for it though.

Think Armstrong will be gone regardless if we can trade him and White and Mumford are no doubt gone. Interesting that they haven't signed Lamb or Everitt yet from what we no.
Gone
Mummy
White
Brown
Jude
Morton
Mattner

?
Everitt
Armstrong
Lamb
That could be 9 players out
IN: Franklin
I do agree with u surely we are looking to bring in 1 or 2 players defentley need a ruck and a replacement for Shaw if Everitt goes and Shaw doesn't get up.

I am hoping for:

GONE:
Mummy
White
Brown
Jude
Morton
Mattner
Armstrong

7 players out.

In:
Franklin

Rookie Upgrades: Rampe, Biggs, Jack

So that will leave us with only the 3 draft picks in a shallow draft. We need a KPD (J.Tippett), and a Ruckman so that we leave us with our first rounder for best available. If we think there is more quality in the draft, biggs or Jack will have another year on the Rookie list.

But with our current contracts, salary cap I would be happier upgrading Rookies that deserve the contract then paying a 4rth round draftee more then Biggs or Jack.

Rookie List:
Naismith
Perris
Richards
(I dont know about robinson or lloyd so Ill leave that up to others to judge).

But we could get a couple of extra rookies.

Not much point speculating on how our cap is going to work . The club will have it worked out to within an inch of its life.
I have complete trust in the club and it's management. I'm very interested to see what we get for white. I'd love a pick in the mid 20's

But then whats the point of speculating on anything? Club has it all under control

All thought I appreciate the effort people have gone through discussing the cap and estimating players salaries. At the end of the day it is just an estimation, even if ur only 50k off on a couple of players salaries, that excess would ore than cover the match payments of any draftees for example

Oh yeah its just something to bullshit about together on the internet, i get what you are saying, but some people like chatting hypotheticals, especially offseason

Parker had a better 2013 than Shuey (he was injured and tagged heavily). But the fact that Shuey is tagged heavily along with his pace and line-breaking puts him ahead of Parker for now definitely.

Parker is not even 21 yet though. I just can't get over that no matter how many times I remind myself of that fact.

Parker is 2-3 years younger and putting up the same numbers

No he isnt

This year he got close shuey still ahead, and shuey has had 3 years at that level

Just facts at the moment

Parker still averaged 21 a game 5 tackles and a goal pretty much the same
Parker wins because he's not a dirty little head ducker

Hard to argue with :p
