I love subtle, polite replies like this:
I think Rachele is an immensely talented kid with great potential,
BUT
he's found out that he's a little fish in a big pond and not the star he used to be back with the Shepparton Swans.
In short, 'rash' is brash and it shows most games; often, he knows when to go but he doesn't know always when to whoa, instead intercepting/spoiling passes meant for teammates and jumping half-heartedly with one hand when the delivery is not to his liking (or not at all sometimes when he hears footsteps, of which many other posters have been critical).
It's ok; he's a kid.
Fogarty went through a similar (arrogant to earned-his-stripes) transition when he realised he wasn't the biggest-bodied, hard bull on the ground at AFL level.
Not once did I say he didn't contribute and the numbers you quote are good, but doesn't he just loooove it when he kicks that one goal a game? If there was time, he'd do a lap of honour.
Rachele just has a few rough edges, a lot like, say, a rough diamond that the AFL will smooth out in time.
I look forward to watching his development and expect that he'll be elite for us.
In the meantime, I'd like him to pull his head in a little and be a bit less about himself.
I don't doubt that he will.
Well, I thought it was clear, but I'm happy to explain just for you , because you asked so nicely .What are you on about?

OK, but I'm not getting frothy about Rachele doing something he should do at every contest, ie put his body on the line every time for 100 minutes.Rachele put his body on the line with 2 minutes to go and stopped Rayner getting a mark on 50. Should have been a free.
Rachele picks and chooses when he goes and when he whoas, unlike say, Michalanney/Soligo/Keays and others who go at full bore 100% of the time. Rachele is our now-you-see-me-now-you-don't kid and he can dazzle, but goes missing for extended periods. He's 15th in the AFL for goal assists, in what way is that 'not for the team'?

In another post, I said I love that he's ours. Some of his party tricks (eg those fabulous handballs between oppo players' legs) are jaw-dropping and his symbiosis with Rankine is thrilling.Averaging 17 disposals, 1 goal, 1 goal assist and 6 score involvements per game this year, they're very good numbers for his position.
