Opinion How is Taylor Walker viewed by neutrals?

Tex is loved by all Crows supporters, but I was wondering how neutrals see him?
Port supporters don't like him, obviously, but what about other clubs supporters?
Also, when his career is over, will be seen as a much admired player, or a villian?
On the positive side, he doesn't like Kane Cornes, so that has to count for something.

He's marvellous. Extremely smart, skilled, and still contributing quality performances. His mobility complements the other 2 big KPFs. Crows can cause damage this year.

Even if we forget the racist remarks, I don't think he will be remembered all that much over time, other than by Adelaide supporters. He was a good forward, but he's not one of the great forwards. His head will pop up from time to time, and you'll be like, "Oh yeah, he exists." I don't think he's ever even won a Coleman? No premierships. He's got a stack of goals, been consistent but that's about it. If he can stick around for a few more years, maybe snag a premiership, crack into that top echilon of total goal scorers who knows? He's 35 though so I wouldn't hold my breath.

Excellent player, has had some obvious issues: I don’t subscribe to the idea that if you make a mistake like his rather disgusting one, you are condemned to be that person forever.

I think he got off extremely lightly for it, I hope if it was a reflection of who he was as a person when it happened, he has changed within. There is also the possibility that the apology etc is nothing more than just lip service and he’s still that person. I guess he and those he’s closest to are the only ones who know.

As a footballer he’s a tier or two below the very best big men but still very good

As for the racist crap that someone here posted, he was describing a real ‘so and so’, protecting a mate unfairly treated and put his skin colour ahead of what he was doing. He didn’t call him that because of skin colour or racism. I get you can’t do that these precious times but he grew up where you could. Racism is about intent not slipping up on the modern middle class way of talking.
