A lot of "tests" listed there. If they all come up good, then there will be chaos at selection.

DYNAMIC Fremantle forward Michael Walters has joined a Dockers injury watch with a knee complaint ahead of next month’s finals showdown.
Walters and dashing utility Nick Suban were casualties from Saturday night’s 12-goal thumping of Port Adelaide in Perth, leaving Dockers coach Ross Lyon with a delicate juggling act ahead of Saturday’s last qualifying game against St Kilda and then first final a week later.

Walters, 22, was a three-goal star in the 74-point demolition of Port but was nursing tightness behind his right knee, while the vastly improved Suban was subbed out of the action before quarter-time with a tight hamstring.

Walters received vital medical attention to his knee late into the ruthless win over the finals-bound Power and finished with his knee wrapped heavily in ice.

The dazzling small goal-shark was again closely monitored by medical staff immediately after Saturday night’ clash with consideration now whether he could be rested as a precaution for a week in a battle with time to recover ahead of a gruelling finals series starting on the road.

Walters could even miss the Saints engagement with fellow small-forward wizard Hayden Ballantyne who nursed a nagging right shoulder problem against Power that the feisty sharp-shooter copped in the dying moments of the massive win over Melbourne a week earlier.

ON THE BLOCK: HOPEFULLY the Fremantle medical team has a clear schedule this week – because the Dockers have more tests to adjudicate than VCE markers. Ballantyne, Walters and Suban were casualties from the commanding win against the Power, but while Suban is expected to miss this week those out west are tipping the fiery goalsneak to suit up against the Saints. Walters is 50-50, while Jack Hannath and Tom Sheridan (who is in super touch) could be fearful of their places in the side with a plethora of players to return.
ON THE CUSP: HERE we go – Sandilands, Ibbotson, McPharlin and Clancee Pearce are all in the frame to slot back in this week. McPharlin looks most likely to play with Ross Lyon keen to get minutes into the full-back’s legs before the finals, while Sandilands should also make the trip east.
SAM LANDSBERGER’S FORECAST: THE purple haze is heading to Melbourne the next two weeks – most likely for duels against coach Ross Lyon’s former club (St Kilda) and former greatest rival (Geelong). And the Dockers seemingly have Lyon’s game plan mastered with the defensive machine restricting the Power to four goals in three quarters before piling on 21 for the match. With a plethora of stars to return and a top-four finish assured the Dockers are looking very scary.

Fixed, from the way he threw himself at everything against Port.

Really wouldn't be keen on resting both Ballantyne and Walters as far as team balance and securing the win on Saturday but if it has to happen to ensure they're ready for finals then I suppose at least we might be able to bring back Pearce and Mcpharlin and keep in Sherridan and Sutcliffe for another game.

Not exactly like for like but I'd rather move some players about for a game we should win handily rather than make even more changes.

Based on the latest list I suspect those with 1 week won't play and the likes of Ibbo, Clanger and 211 on 'Test' will.

The biggest thing is getting Ibbotson and Pearce back this week. My fear was that if they are not selected this week they may miss finals, not for anything just because of their lack of match fitness (especially Ibbo) - so really hope they get to play this weekend!

McPharlin, Walters and Suban missing a week isn't too bad as Walters and Suban have good match form and McPharlin can slot straight back into the side hopefully.

Hill running with Suban has "general soreness " written all over it. Expect all Pearce , Crozier and Ibbo to come in for Hill, Ballas, Suban. If Sydney lose Friday I expect all emergencies to play also.

The injury list looks like RTB has ask Webber that he wants everyone 100% (or close to) come 1st week September. No risks no tight hammies, just fit and available. We have the longest list, but all seem to be coming back, while Hawks/Geelong are managing very sore players just to get through ( eg Hodge/Hawlins) Sydney are just trying to get 22 on the park!

Hawks , Sydney and Geelong have all had hard physical games leading into the finals where as we have smashed all opposition teams we have played and been able to cover any injuries and looking to have fresh players ready to play finals with our best possible team on the ground up and running .
way to go Freo and RTB.

And despite us smashing all opposition in one sided games, we are still getting more injuries than ever.

I'm pretty sure maca has a pretty good record of sprinting well fresh, mightn't be so good the following week.
Hang-on,he'll have another rest after we put the cats away in QF2. :p

The only reason he isn't playing is becuase they want to get some kms in his legs, hes right to go this week but why fly him when he can get the run on the track. makes sense to me.

The nearly but not quite ready to play go through a long match sims training session Sat mornings according to IrishDocker who has been down to have a look
Very intense and full on and preferred to WAFL or limited AFL game time
