All MAFS watchers and posters.

This thread is given a lot of rope with posting especially around insults of contestants (mostly deserved) BUT you need to ensure to abide by the site rules on profanity, racism, homophobia, sexism, misogyny etc etc etc.

Ill be explicitly clear, a minor infraction will get a deletion and a warning, a second minor infraction will be a thread ban, a serious infraction will be an automatic thread ban or worse.

The show is in poor taste (probably why we love it) and thus the posting can also be but there is a line and we need to remember and respect that.

Cheers man. I think it was a great season as well. It has received mixed reviews, but the higher ups MUCH preferred it to last season. I think they will try and replicate the type of casting that has happened here. The only problem with this season, and it is a pretty big problem, it was so Bryce heavy. And the whole abusive relationship thing is very murky.

The Beck & Bryce storyline got very old, very quickly. No doubt there was a lot more successful couples in this one though, despite Bryce & Melissa being an abusive relationship. Whoops.

Now that’s it over can you confirm whether that whole mentally abusive relationship thing was a massive ham up by the editing?

They give off a massive stink to me that they are still together purely to save face atm. I just can’t compute how delusional someone like his mrs could actually be. It’s mind boggling

Will you be around on Sunday night for the finale?

Nah, I'm not sure how you'd ham that up even if we tried. We actually tried to simplify it early in the season. Ep 8 or whatever i did, when she says something like "Ï don't know any better" was a major turning point where we decided to let it play out and explore it more rather than just water it down to something like a he's an a-hole headline. They both just kept giving us stuff that played into it. It is what it is and it was decided it was more compelling for the show. Then it was basically a runaway train as the rest of the cast caught on.

I was impressed at the apparent number and efficiency of un named canberrans who found out details about bryce and found and contacted, worded up Booka Alana lines for the script etc etc

But wouldn't it have been more efficient for the producers to word up these people directly? The viewers wouldn't have known the actual truth

(Sarcasm font)

Look, Liam.

Don't expect to be the hero when you literally walk past your ex. It doesn't take Einstein to figure out that sh*t doesn't go down well. And I'm guessing you're upset because we didn't include the real reason you were upset at her*. The problem there is that doesn't make good telly.

You aren't good looking enough to behave like this. You look like a busted Cubism painting. And no one actually cares about you. This is the Bryce show.

Now piss off back to obscurity.

*he was carrying on about the video with Jason calling him gay and literally calling everyone homophobes.

The real story is;

'Reality TV star without a mental disability and an IQ over 15 is shocked by disingenuous edit. How did it come to this?'

On a serious note, the MAFS contestants are becoming extremely incestual. They all know each other and its gross and weird. I guarantee there will be more contestants next year who have some connection to former participants.

I didn't even watch last season cos it was that rubbish. This one was great, I just wish characters like Coco and Boy Sam had stuck around longer.

I'd argue that every argument any couple had getting repeated ad nauseum for a week was a pretty big problem too, but I do agree that this season was better than the last one

Yehhhh.... nah.

Obviously you saw the footage we didn’t but I think it was a poor choice.

If Jason, Georgia and Johnny got called out on that video (which was homophobic and fat shaming) you guys really should have aired it. There are still people who don’t go diving down the rabbit hole for extra content and Liam looked like he just hadn’t gotten iver the vows and that’s why he brushed Georgia off. It’s a VERY VERY different context when you know about the video.

In addition it would have been a good chance to show that you actually support the guy and his bisexuality.

I’m well aware it’s not “your” choice what goes in and your just doing your job but I completely disagree with you on this one.

Your mate Megan Pusetto from So Dramatic calls it the Reality TV Pyramid Scheme. The MAFS participants all shag the Bach/Bachette contestants. It seems highly unusual for any of them to have any non-reality show and non-influencer friends anymore.

Of course it was homophobic. We don't need to air it/address it for everyone to know that. It's out there, like many other videos that the cast put up after they have left the show. That's not part of the show. that happened outside the show. We will never touch that stuff. If it had happened in the confines of the show, then Jason probably would have been kicked off.

As far as using him ignoring Georgia and us using it in a different context, well, what else were we meant to do? The entire episode is based on how they greet each other after a long time away. He would have known the video would not have been discussed. How are we meant to cheat that they are all fine and dandy?

Here's something - He literally screamed at Kerry, calling her a homophobe as well, when she had nothing to do with it. She spent 80% of the night crying. I bet he would have loved seeing that go to air.

Yeah I think people had a rose coloured view of Sam after the way he left. Last night was a good reminder that he’s actually a massive tool himself and probably would have caused every bit as much drama as Gonzo.

What a shock he's a muppet and trying to save face. Kerry doesn't deserve to be brought into it.

He obviously has a right to be upset about the video, but on the night, no one was safe from his tirade. With him knowing that it wouldn't be aired, I feel like we actually gave him the softest out possible. It didn't escalate with whatsherface after he entered. He didn't look that bad at all.

Not sure what he's whinging about then. If anything if it's a tirade he'll look worse. Good decision leaving it out.
