does anybody know how marc murphy is going after injury? has he bulked up whatsoever? and same with kennedy hows he going??:D

Murphy and JK both ran the first time trial of the pre-season finishing 5th and 13th respectively (Ryan Jackson won). Both will commence preseason training with the rest of the team. Murphy hasn't bulked up due to the nature of his injury, but given that he was able to put on a lot of muscle over his first pre season I believe he'll be a good size by round 1.

mad i cant wait to see them both play, and i cant wait till carlton just beat collingwood loll

Who else finished top 5?

hope he has a bigger and better 2007 hopefully he'll get his revenge on the player who crunched him :thumbsu:

i think these were the results:

1-jackson
2-bannister
3-russell
4-fisher
5-murphy

Thanks for this info.

Does anybody know where Walker & Simpson finished?

Cheers guys. :thumbsu:

I completely forgot that Simmo would have been in Ireland. Another "blonde" moment which seems to be happening far too frequently the past few days ;) :p :D

anybody else surprised fisher came 4th? i'll admit i've never watched him as closely as i have the others, but i wouldnt have predicted such a high ranking. have i missed this over the years or has he always been a good runner?

I am....maybe he could become more of a winger

The days Fisher plays a good game, he does run quite hard up and down the wings and flanks to present. I'm surprised of the result though.

I'm not expecting too much from Marc Murphy in 2007 as I believe the second year blues will probably affect him, ala Cooney, Delidio, etc ... Kids get scrutinised a lot closely the 2nd year and will need to go another level again. He might surprise/delight us all but history doesn't say that.

I have no doubts about this kid, however lets not be too critical if he doesn't reach the 2006 heights in 2007.

It's a good result but I think the test reveals who has been trying the hardest in their time off, thus, guys like Jacko and Banno - who aren't resting on secure futures - have been putting in to keep their fitness at a high level, while guys like Scotland (who would have been one of our fitest last season) are a bit down the order. With all the additions to the list, Fish will have to improve if he's wants to be a walk up start, so it's good to see him putting in. Hartlett finishing last is dissapointing, hopefully he can complete a full pre-season and show enough to be retained for 2008.

.

Not so sure. I think Murph will star in 2007. He got heavy tags from his 2nd game onwards. He knows how to deal with it, and does it with style. A total professional. Gibbs and Simpson will attract their fair share of taggers in 2007 as well. :)

Not so surprised by Fisher's finish. He really needs to add some strength in the pre-season though. Can't wait to see a full strength Carlton forward-line in 2007, with Eddie, Murph, and Gibbs chipping in. Lots of class. :)

i did think about that, but hoped most players would stay reasonably fit!saves working on it later but who could blame them for having a break. Jackson has always had great endurance,at draft camp showed good time trial and beep test results (was in the top 10 for both or one i cant remember) and always ran and ran during the knights games
