This is the first flat Gabba shield wicket in years

its not a crack at the Gabba in particular (waca probably the worst)

and it’s not a case of one bad wicket and your out

however the shield is becoming too heavily skewed towards batting of late

let’s see a good contest

The whole comp needs a revamp I think.
Normally when a side bats first for a day and a half and makes 500, there's only
one side who can win it unless there is a bad declaration, like SA/NSW today.

Reckon they should look at having a compulsory batting declaration after 96 overs say.
If you get bowled out for 80 overs, the opposing team gets the balance of the overs.
And maybe bring back first innings points as well.
