Pretty accurate that we are 3-4 years behind North unless we get a priority package to catch up.

To be honest, North effectively started their rebuild 8 years ago when they culled their veterans who were still performing well.

And 3 years from now, I'm confident that West Coast will be placed well above them.

The development of North's KPPs won't align with their midfielders. If they hope for those mids to wait around that long they're probably going to be disappointed.

Davies-Uniacke is FA in 2025, Essendon are already positioning for Wardlaw in 2026 and Tasmania will no doubt go after McKercher.

I can see their attempt to build being picked apart by well-resourced vultures or being burst by salary cap issues after doing a Gold Coast and paying players far too much to keep them from being poached.

Just scrap it altogether

Goal umpires are (very predictably) too scared to even make a call anymore, we're holding the game up to decide if it's a point or out on the full

Absolute atmosphere killer
Yeah if they wont spend the cash to have useful tech then put it and the crypto scam ad reasons they call so many reviews in the bin

I feel thats pretty spot-on TBH.

1. Gaff lighting it up for a single game in the magoos isnt good enough to earn an immediate recall. Make him really want it.

2. 3-4 wins total is probably about where we are tracking right now, and deserving of an end-of-first-round PP.
29 touches in a WAFL praccy isn’t lighting up really. Subi had notable out as well as Gaff being actually way too good for WAFL level. Lighting up standard for Gaff should be over 40 impactful touches and a goal or two. That over few weeks should ge the standard for him to work his way back

Agree. A million dollar player picking up 29 touches and still being outshone by Hall, Burgiel and Williams prob doesn't scream for him to be rushed back.

Is gaff-lighting like gaslighting except its Simmo trying to convince us Gaff isn't sh*t?

"No mate, the stats are wrong. Gaffy got 40 disposals, kicked four goals, and took mark of the year"

Yep. McCrae went back to VFL and had 47 touches. That’s putting your hand up.

Anyone watch Simpson on vfl360? Is it worth watching or don't bother?
I think it was worth watching. The bits about the injury crisis helping him to stay in the job by reducing the scrutiny on him and the comments about being able to assess the impact of the training ground and tbh by implication his coaching this year was interesting.

Llyod didn’t watch the game. That was aa ferocious Yeo. Closes he has looked to his best since 2019. Yeo at times looked gassed but it’s been a while since he has played to that intensity. If he stays fit he’ll rain the Woosha medal easily

Yeah..this has all the smell of GET HARLEY OUT OF THAT HELL HOLE all about it  Ol mate won't stop until Harley's back in Victoria
Next minute the media will be asking why west coast don’t give them more access to the club and players.

AFL really should put their necks out and tell these mouth breathers to knock this s**t off. Who was the last number one pick that the media was actively barracking for every week that the team they were playing for wasn’t good enough for them?

The number one pick goes to a s**t team almost every year for *s sake.
