Wasn’t young Horling-Smith weighing up a career between footy and cricket?

The Redbacks dodged a ******* bullet!
Couldn't be any worse than the rest of the West Horsham team

GHS is the unlucky guy who plays VFL cos the coach rates Menegola (short for mainly goes missing in finals)

Unlucky that the future captain of GC makes the bottom 50.

I guess afl.com reads Mofra's Bottom 50 and decided to troll him.
They wrote this about his year: "The 25-year-old managed just four games this year. One was a magnificent performance against Port Adelaide with the onballer picking up 26 disposals, eight tackles and two goals after coming in as a late inclusion at Adelaide Oval."
LOL.

He's gone to the Suns.

Player #38 - Lachie Plowman

Pictured: Lachie Plowman playing for the Carlton Colts

Lachie Plowman is a backman for Carlton who was a former no 3 draft pick by GWS and now plays in the worst defensive unit in the AFL.

Lachie is an odd size for his style of play. He likes to 'intercept' the ball which is fine for A grade guns, but is also a way of saying 'I'm not too great one on one and lose my opponent in traffic' for players of his ilk. At 191cm he's not quite tall enough to be classified as a KPD, and he's.... certainly not a rebounder.
With an average metres gained at 150m and less than 10 effective disposals per game he's a kind of tallish, kind of defender which probably suits Carlton because they're kind of a football team.

Basically he was part of a package deal whereby GWS lost a bunch of players at the end of 2015 (good thing they're right on top of player retention these days) and Carlton got a bunch of players which made absolutely no difference to the state of their list which has been undergoing a rebuild with the speed and efficiency of the NBN rollout. Painfully, one of the picks used in the deal was eventually used on Jarrad Berry at Brisbane who is what Lachie was supposed to be - an effective intercepter and rebounder who can play tall and short.

Speaking of berries, Lachie's also on the juice although Spike McVeigh sold this to him and said it's just B vitamins:

Lachie, Plowers, maaate. Well done on getting out of GWS shortly before 712 other players made the same decision. Welcome to the Bottom 50 for 2018.

Do we have a full 22 from ex GWS, then Carlton Bottom 50 entries yet ??? Must be getting close by now...

Just imagine, GWS’s first real achievement - an entire 22 in the Bottom 50.....

Being harsh there Mofra. Carlton consider Ploughman one of their GWS recruitment successes.
Compared to their own recruitment, probably yes.
Compared to any semi-professional sporting organisation, he's "fine".

Is that the same ‘fine’ you get from your wife when you ask her how she is ??

I’m fine !!

No it’s the ‘fine’ you get when you as if it’s OK to go away for a weekend golfing trip with the boys.

That’s a similar ‘fine’. Not as bad as ‘the bucks night is at a strip joint’, but close....

It's funny because it's true. Marchbank would literally be the only more successful acquisition from GWS.

Amazing that SOS didn't go sniffing around Scully, but perhaps he's too talented for that recruiting philosophy. :$

Geeez, that's a Saints best on ground performance

Geelong had to trade George. With the Guthrie sisters they were over their quota of players who look like Ellen Degeneres.
Seedsman to Geelong confirmed.
