I know it's an Americanism but I do like the concept of retiring numbers. 9 should be off limits. 16 should have been as well.

At least give it a few years then let Robbie present it to someone worthy.

If it had to be someone in the current team it would have to be Butters. He was a Robbie draft pick wasn't he?

16 is actually a good example of why not to retire numbers. Tredrea created a legacy which has been further enhanced by Wines. It's now a famous number at the club.
 
Mum and I talked about this on the way home.

It has to go to a player that is expected to play 150+ games - someone who can win BnFs and all-Australians.

I think it's obvious that Tom Clurey changes from 17 to 9. It's a club tradition started by Robbie Gray, after all.
