The shemons celebrating 3 months after flag what flogs 3 months is very forgettable they are estimating 40000 I say 40000 from hire a crowd
All they are doing is sitting in the stands and watching it on the two big screens at the MCG. I can't see how it can be anywhere near the actual experience of the day itself and seems a bit sad.

When they announced the thing I thought it would be they are on the ground itself with various activities to do like a big family day.

all the dee supporters at the 'g' reliving a past glory and in fantasy land about back-to-back.

main ingredient in a dynasty is humility. Staying humble keeps you hungry. Taking nothing away from their achievements last season I’m not sure I see it in Melbourne. Bulldogs couldn’t back up 16 because they were drowning in their bathwater.
their list demographic is perfect to string a few good seasons together but whether they can stay grounded

Anyone listening to SEN right now? they're live at the MCG watching the GF replay with special insight on just what its like to play on GF day by Dangerflog & Josh Jenkins??? two of the worst big game players in the history of the AFL. Good job SEN/KRock.
I thought the club would organise some type of activity day rather than re watch the gf on the screen

How the hell is degropey allowed back in the country when he is facing serious assault charges in the US I thought if you were charged with something in a foreign country you would have to surrender your passport so you can’t go back home until it’s dealt with
I assume it's becuase there is no jail time associated with his charge and they would have been given permission because he can appear via video, and has US representation.

Don't know how he'll go getting a US visa in the future though.

How’s the AFL making round 1 featuring a weds night and Thursday night games

We love our fans, but we don’t actually want to make it so family’s can come to the games or anyone who has early morning starts

Absolutely tone deaf to the fan base of the game
Not about crowds or families it's about channel 7 and foxtel

AFL just following on with the recent tradition of the grand finalists playing first up to appease "long suffering drought breaking fans" just like in 2018 when round 1 was the Tiges and Crows..... Oh wait.... Oh forgot, 2020 when the Tiger fans couldnt watch the granny when it was in Brisbaine... we were a special round 1 basket case.... oh wait....

Might as well maximise the financial return on these clubs while you can.

By round three those two will be attracting 20 to 30,000 crowds.

THE AFL FREE KICK LADDER OF THE LAST FIVE YEARS

We may be preparing for The Ashes to commence, but just before the focus fully shifts to cricket season, here’s one more AFL stats article.

The Free Kick Ladder has developed a cult following here on SEN.com.au so we thought we’d go one more time with feeling for 2021.

In this edition, we take a look at the total free kicks the umpires have awarded to each of the 18 clubs from the start of 2017 through until the end of last season.

Sitting at the top of the five-year tree is Collingwood. The Magpies have a differential of +303 thanks largely to the fourth most free kicks for (2163) and the fewest free kicks against (1860).

They are just nine ahead of the Western Bulldogs overall. The Doggies have a +294 differential courtesy of 2185 frees for - the third most - and just 1891 against which is the second least.

They are two of five clubs with a positive differential of more than 100, ahead of North Melbourne (+188), Adelaide (+156) and West Coast (+145).

Geelong (2277) and Brisbane (2217) have been awarded the most free kicks since 2017 but have also given away a significant amount meaning their differentials are just +63 and +11 respectively.

Port Adelaide (+11) and Carlton (+4) are the two remaining clubs in the positive.

Down the other end, perennial offender Richmond, who won three premierships during this five-year stretch, holds up the rest with a massive negative differential of -368. That stems from their free kicks against (2408) - which is comfortably the worst result in the league - easily outdoing their frees for total of 2040.

The only other club with a minus differential of 200 or more is the GWS Giants. They sit at -219 on the back of the second most free against (2335).

Four clubs - St Kilda (-111), Essendon (-113), Sydney (-126) and Hawthorn (-140) - are with the Giants and Tigers as well in the negatives.

The others with a negative differential are Gold Coast (-23), Fremantle (-36) and Melbourne (-39).
