I'd eventually like to see Pears in, Hooker out, Hurley back, and Daniher in. Gumby's invited too, but he's gotta make it there.
So somehow Daniher is ahead of Gumby? What a load of shit

No, Gumby's invited, hence me saying Gumby's invited, but with his history of injuries it appears unlikely he will.

Douchebag.
Sorry, I misinterpreted it. I thought you were saying Gumby wasn't good enough

Don't think Pears has played a good game since 2010.

No contest.

Conversely, Hooker has never played one.
LOLOLOLOL

Relax Ben, take a breath, I am jk babe xoxo

Pears has generally been played out of position though, used as 2nd tall when someone else gets injured.. i expect him to play his best when/if Fletch is rested..

This will most likely be the post Fletcher situation. Hurley has developed up forward and added strings to his bow, he'll be swung forward on occassion. Hooker has been given lots of games and will be worth something on the trade table. A combination of Hurely, Pears, Hibberd and Dempsey will provide good ball use coming out of the back half. The type of players that Carlisle, Hurley and Pears are give us a good combination of talls/mediums. Someone like Van Uen may come into the side but I'd like to see Hardingham with the lock down roles and Hibberd and Dempsey sharing attacking and lock down roles in a horses for courses manner.

Up the other end of the ground the height of Daniher and Gumby combined with the power of Crameri and the leading up of Winderlich will be very hard to counter. All that is needed is a long term crumbing forward, hopefully Tippa can develop into that.

My opinions on how great the fundamentals of our midfield are, especially with Jetta developing his midfield play and Merret and Kav coming along nicely to add some speed to it, have been expressed in the midfield thread.

That doesn't guarantee success but it has all the makings of a premiership list, IMHO. With Goddard and Watson in their late 20s I think we have a three or four year window opening up this year. Also I get the feeling that Gold Coast and GWS will be shutting everyone elses windows in three or four years!!
