Does anyone know how Tayte's recovery from injury is coming along - Ive heard mixed reports... Is there any chance he will be placed on the LTI list anytime soon or will he be back up and ready by the early rounds of the season proper? You'd think hes to valuable to risk rushing back, and after Crameri's form on Friday I gotta say if theres any risk at all than we best just wrap Tayte in cotton wool for a while...

should be able to train and then play Rnd 1.. with cast on presumably.. he did it early in melb game and played on.. hopefully not a long delay..

Will miss 1 week of training.

Very misleading thread title.

Thought he has been pretty serviceable so far this preseason. Actually, suprisingly, disappointed by this.

On the positive side, it means we are more likely to see Hibberd get a gig, maybe even Browne. Hibberd certainly deserves a chance.

Hmm small defender position open for round 1.

Dyson?

Hibberd and Hardingham?

Hibberd made most of the same mistakes Slattery makes (doesn't take first option, tries to do too much) - minus the fumbles - last night but we have to get game time into him.

Hardingham seemed to do quite a few good things last night in defense. Backs himself and actually has the talent to to pull it off.

Bugger he's been incredibly good thus far, I am usually highly critical of Hank but he's really put in the hard yards.
Hope they don't put Hardingham as a defender, he doesn't do field kicks well at all and his leap is being wasted in the backline. Hibberd could be the go.
There was a link up yesterday of players that usually have bad ballwork that went surprisingly well: Slattery > Prismall > Stanton > Hardingham > Myers and it went very well, I am hoping my nerves will calm in regards to these players having the ball.

Not really much of a loss, however has been in fair form early on. However my gosh he has the fumbles!

Very hard to pick the ball up cleanly when you thumb is broken, right through to the joint.

He didn't know how bad he had hurt his thumb until the last quarter when he dropped that mark. He then knew something was wrong

Pity, looked to be in pretty good shape. Hibberd/Hardingham come on down...
