The whistle just went on the phone, looks like we've made a $15,000 profit this year. Fair effort considering the crap we dished up this year

There is always one...

These ******* campaigners do realise that an AFL club is a not for profit organisation right? The only thing profits are for is re-investing into the club. Unless you are saving for something, profits are pointless. It means we've run a tight ship and put every dollar to use.

$14,800 profit ... not a lot of return on effort - dismal result. Yeah yeah we are a NFP organisation... but lets hope the crowd numbers stay high.

No, they don't.

To remain profitable in a s**t year is encouraging. Now for the customary sentence about being disappointed it's not a *puts pinky to mouth* $1 million figure. And a second sentence about waiting for the crers $950k 'cash profit' announcement.

I do hope we're paying down our debt. I don't care if we announce a $1 profit so long as we have a sustainable business model and no bad debts.

We could probably massage the numbers and produce a profit in the hundreds of thousands but why would we want to give the SANFL clubs an easy target?

So much this. I'm significantly more interested in our total revenue than in our profit.

hurrrrrr how much money do Poort owe the SANFL? :drunk:
hurrrrrr that's Crows money, they fund the SANFL and in turn fund Poort :drunk:
hurrrrrr why isn't it millions with the China deal? :drunk:
hurrrrrr Poort Adelaide FC, est. 1995/1996/1997 :drunk: (ever notice how interchangable the year is and how they never get their bullshit story straight?)

I wonder how much money the club received per win from member pledges in 2016, and how many wins/losses we were away from not making any profit at all. Even if 'only' 10,000 members pledged 'just' $10.00 per win, that would have raised $1Million in 2016, and one less win would have seen us way in the red ;)

If we were like other clubs we would announce a profit of $900k plus saying that is our operating profit before depreciation and amortisation.
