we can win this
we just need to be clean with our disposal
boak covering acres, just needs clean kicks
well, we just saved our season
come on boys, lift, keep it up, get goals
what's different?
ebert in middle, chaplin wing, forward
westhoff holding marks
surjan up forward
and, AND, a little forward pressure. notice how we kept it in there. how good was that, haven't seen that in a long ling time
we are bipolar tho
love pittard

chaplin, trengove, westhoff acted like men

Playing Oshea has been a monumental Primus f&ck up!

Not sure how he can justify this bloke after the first 3 games. The 5 blokes he dropped should have stayed in ahead of him.

Inspired comeback led by Trengove in the ruck, Ebert, Thomas, Westhoff, Chad and Chaplin, who has mixed his best with his worst tonight.

We did our very best to hand the momentum back to them in the last three minutes but lucks of fortune were finally with us to keep them from extending it back to a greater than 2 goal deficit.

For the good in that quarter, some people need an absolute roast.

First and foremost, our coaches. Primus and his team of merry men have not put any time or thought into our kick-ins or how we can break down opposition zones. They have not instilled in us any awareness of defending the centre corridor, or actually using it. And either by selecting a small forward line, or overemphasising it at training, they have educated our players to look wide at every opportunity at the expense of our forwards.

Secondly, we continue to have about half-a-dozen individuals who are not making the effort required to play at AFL level.

Paul Stewart and Matthew Broadbent are both liabilities at present, playing up the ground. They don't run hard enough, they don't defend their men well enough at stoppages, they chase half-heartedly and when there is an opportunity to shepherd, they fail to execute. I have lost all confidence in Broadbent in the last 2 weeks. His failed shepherd when Chaplin was trying to run forward on the members side (eventually kicked it to Westhoff who goaled) was piss-weak. Stewart looks as though he is running up and down on the same spot. He is getting worse every week.

I'd put a big emphasis at this half-time break on four players getting into the game. Salopek, Hartlett, Boak and Gray are having mediocre nights. We will not win, while these guys are shown up by Matt Thomas for effort. You can't have your four most creative midfielders get <20 touches per game, week-in, week-out. Time for one of these highly rated players to stand up and make their impact on this game. Sal's foot disposal is becoming a worry also.

If we can carry that form into the 3rd (like a normal AFL team) we can win

Motlop needs a bit of magic. If he can score 3 in this half - we win

Chappy - what happened mate? Realised with a new baby he would need a job next year... Keep it up mate

Hitchcock - bring him on now?? Stewart might be finished

Send Surjan back to the defence

I dont think the Crows are fit. We can run them down.

Go I want to win this game!!

World Champion wife has served dinner at the right time - back in 10

if we lose from here fine, that's football
but primus showed something then
he also gave us a forward line
I'm happy
sure i want us to win, but that quarter showed us something and i liked it
was it effort?
run?
following your man?
structure?
can't out my finger on it, but i think i just saw something click, even if it were ever so slight
( sorry for spelling errors etc, i do all this on a phone.
time to swap oshea for hjtchy now maybe

carn port

Some of our (and their) skills have been as poor as I have seen. We are playing a Crows side with a handful+ of their players missing through injury and yet we are still struggling. But you jujst have to admire the effort and lift in intensity to get themselves back into the game.

It's not pretty, it's far from good. It's bottom of the table stuff in nearly every aspect apart from the desire to not lose.

At this stage, I'll take that.

Sal Harts Boak and Gray were much better when we giot going - hopefullly the other guys wilkl drag them further into it.

Those four players, nivek, should be the ones leading the charge. They are not.

If Hartlett is not able to get involved in the stoppages, then he needs to run his arse off to make space so he can receive from link-ups.

Gray may be carrying an injury.

Salopek clearly hasn't got the pace to be a modern day wingman. He doesn't run and carry and is not effective at closing down space or chasing down opponents.

Boak - tries his heart out. Has to get more footy though.

I know what you mean. At the end of that quarter, we should have been pushing for more scores. Instead, we were doing our best to gift them a goal or two. Our defence and ability to clear from defence, is not great.

true but hopefully they will improve in 2nd half ... they started to get involved!

Yeah - can put Broadbent in the same category. He has become one stuff-up followed by lazy effort followed by another stuff-up. Time for him to lift a few cogs. Midfielders who get 10-15 touches per game get dropped.

i am broadbents best fan, but yeah, what's happened the last few weeks?
hjtchy looks like he will come on.
here we go

salopek has to be finished?
he just sucks
