Out of interest what is RT’s goalkicking accuracy in first quarters this year? Feels like he’s missed quite a few makeable shots recently that could have got us off to a good start. He’s a beast but he could improve in this area.
Saints - 2.0
Essendon - 0.0
North - 0.0
Suns - 1.2
Geelong - 0.1
GWS - 1.0
Freo - 0.0
Carlton - 0.0
Port - 1.0
Collingwood - 0.1

So not a big first quarter scorer at all. Only once scored multiples, 3 games with 1 and 6 games (out of 10) without a goal on the first.

Kicked 1.0 for the game against Carlton.

We kicked 3 behinds in the first, but that was 2 to Rachele and 1 to Cumming.
Oops I meant Port - I should nap

I swore he missed 3

We kicked 10.8, them 11.12.

Missed some easy shots, so did they.
Sorry, Goal Kicking has come up on this week's Nicks Excuse-O-Meter and that's all there is to it.

Injuries
Umpires
Bounce of the Ball
Unfair AFL draw
Goal kicking

He's never actually lost a game

The worst thing that could come from this season is scraping into finals from an easy fixture and ticking the season off as a success.
I didn't realise 3 double ups with the top 4 was easy :drunk:

I'm pretty sure the coaching staff have a handle of who will make it, who needs more time and who isn't up to it.

The coaches have shown that players who are up to it get games immediately. Max, Rachele, Soligo. They have worked with players that will make it but have issues. Worrell. They have given players that have shown glipses opportunities. Scholl, Berry, (Schoenberg in last chance saloon).

Yes there have been selection issues here and there. But if a player is a lock to make it they have been given opportunities.

What utter tripe Matty.

He has a skewed ideal of what a player should bring. You dont fall into that box, youre not going to get far.

P.S, his ideals dont align with that of any half decent, let alone Premiership winning Coach Ive even known by a long way.

It only took them 208 games to realise that Murphy and Jones weren't quite at the level

I mean, we're basically forcing a situation where Draper is going to have to have next year as his rookie year, because we've put so little opportunity to build experience into him- i.e. Curtin this year.

Malpractice.

Nicks naming multiple specific moments of error by the players at his press conference without a whiff of self awareness.
Is there ever any self awareness there whatsoever?

We fell across the line against Port and they got pulverised either side of that match.

And selection?

Jack Riewoldt: "They (AFC) may now rue playing three tall forwards in the wet."

Did Nicks get asked about this in his press conference?

I could do the same analysis of his coaching...

Death, taxes and nicks player blaming.

No. He spoke mostly about player mistakes, then about how good Collingwood are, and a bit about Dawson.

We didn't play our best today but still kept pace with Collingwood all game. In the end, several missed opportunities (especially in front of goal) costed us the game.

At the end of the day, we're 6-4 heading into two winnable games against West Coast and Sydney. If we win both of these games as expected, we're 8-4 heading into the tough fortnight against Brisbane and Hawthorn.

Things are far more positive for us than they are for our friends down the road, and for several other clubs that could've been nipping at our heels.

We are really not in a position to treat a win in sydney as a fait accompli.

I'm getting angrier and angrier thinking about today.

Being in Indonesia and only 6pm now I have a long night ahead.

So tired of losing the same old way, picking guys who don't put in a stinker but exactly the performance you expect, playing not to lose, a coach with no flair.

Yep. Small solace is port are diabolical so I’m off to their board for another ban.

Actually takes any shine off last week given they've been flogged either side of the showdown

Sydney Port Geelong Brisbane

Port is a default

If you can find me the double ups on the other 3 I will concede
