On the Freo site Griff said he played limited minutes for Peel. I can't see him in the AFL off that. If AP doesn't get up then either Cox goes back or Johnno comes in. Possibly neither since Walker won't play and I think Lynch is in serious doubt.

I think we'll be in it for a good while just because it is at home and Adelaide have more injuries than us. Some seriously good players missing from both sides.

Can see Matera having a field day if we play two rucks, rotating forward. I'd play Hughes too, for all the
talk of how average his game for Peel was, his numbers were quite good.
Nyhius, Cox, Kersten can all play duel roles, even Hughes let him off the leash in the centre rotating with
Blakely.

Hard to tell. Bit of talk around their program this year but I can't help think that it is mostly luck given how well they kept people on the park last year.

Its embarrassing for us as a club. Port are often mocked for their crowds etc........ they will get 50k at AO the next 3 weeks.
We are wallowing in this brand new stadium getting sub 40k crowds.

Our crowds were never going to be huge apart from derbies. A large chunk over recent years have been WC supporters who are not going to come to our games anymore. We maybe had 25k true Freo supporters at Subi games last year. New stadium will get a few more along, but the ticket prices are very high. We've been playing poorly and had some bad weather as well.

West Coast average home crowds have jumped by 45% since last year. Ours has jumped by 40%. Skewed by the derby and our average will keep dropping, but it's not a big difference considering the factors above and WC are flying.

Must admit the team without Fyfe and the others against a team that plays finals most years is getting to the point of being non competitive. Is there a chance of any good news soon on players returning to fire up some interest.

Enthusiasm is low admittedly but I am no fairweather supporter.. I and my partner and son will be there!
