Yeah, that's probably true and that's very shit of the AFC.And thus Taylor's career is finished at Adelaide.
Preferring Murphy over him is just bad.

Dowling isn't killing it either, same as Taylor, Sholl and Nank. Good, not great. Murphy isn't going great guns either, let me say that. I don't love the selection but Draper really struggled against Sydney. He got two less touches than the guy we chose ahead of him in last week’s SANFL game
If you’re moving Rash/Keays/ANB into the midfield more, at least select Dowling
Straight out of the Don Pyke manual. Is this the selection equivalent of the T-bicep sign? Thanks to everyone for getting us into a good spot, now we'll bring in the senior players to defend our ladder position from here!
No I don’t. I’m relating to your comments on Smith v Edwards selection and even now, we didn’t have to bring Murphy in, we have other players.I love the way you attribute my thoughts/opinions to club selection policy and then accuse me of mental gymnastics.
If JP wasn't suspended neither would play.

How much did Draper play against Sydney and did he play midfield?Dowling isn't killing it either, same as Taylor, Sholl and Nank. Good, not great. Murphy isn't going great guns either, let me say that. I don't love the selection but Draper really struggled against Sydney.
I was wrong, sack Davis.
Remember when you said Nicks couldn’t be a defensive coach because we had the number one attack when we are also the number 2 defensive team? Lol
I dont think its that simple TBH.And thus Taylor's career is finished at Adelaide.
Just put the life savings on Hawthorn (gamble responsibly)Last two seasons in games with Murphy selected:
5 wins, 13 losses
Last two seasons in games without Murphy selected:
12 wins, 5 losses, 1 draw
You can’t be an offensive coach if you are ranked no 2 for defence. See how silly your argument is, can’t believe I needed Scorpus to point that out, would have saved me a lot of time.Nice. Say it again for those in the back.
Yeah you can't be a defensive coach when you have had the #1 offense in the AFL 2/3 years. I will die on that hill.
Is bringing in Murphy, who doesn’t get the pill or score goals, something an attacking coach would do?Nice. Say it again for those in the back.

Just heard Roo saying they've bought in Murphy for forward defensive pressure (which he doesn't provide effectively) and he's been in good form in the SANFL (playing a completely different position).Thats a pretty good description TBH.
He and the coaching group think this is the best move to win tonight's game, which in itself is a bit scary.

Jeeze playing 2 top 50 goal scorers of all time or choosing to playing Murphy, yeah completely comparable. What a silly question.
Does the most defensive coach in the history of the AFL (Ross Lyon) playing two of the top 50 goalscorers of all time make him an attacking coach?
Remember when you said Murray had never seen Murphy play. And that was the only reason Murphy was allowed to play against the Suns was because Nicks convinced him. And then after Murphy sucked - Murray said get him out and Murray dropped him.
Funny of you to accuse others of mental gymnastics when you are the mental Simone Byles.
If they seriously play him in that role where he’s continually failed at, based on his midfield form in the SANFL, seriously burn the place down.Just heard Roo saying they've bought in Murphy for forward defensive pressure (which he doesn't provide effectively) and he's been in good form in the SANFL (playing a completely different position).
Cooked.
Correct.
Can't absolve Murray Davis of the blame. If anything I say he is 100% responsible. As coaching director I'm confident he overruled his subordinate Matthew Nicks

Huh?
A defensive coach still needs to score and even nicks would pick top 50 goal scorers of all time.It your shitty example mate.
Selecting one crappy player who isnt good offensively good doesn't make Mathew Nicks anything other than stupid.

He did not have to pick Murphy who is not an attacking player rather “known (yeah I know)” for his defensive pressure.
Anyway you’ve taken it way more seriously than I thought![]()
Earlier this year the theory was that Murray Davis made all the good decisions and Nicks made all the bad decisions
Turns out that was wrong. We now know Nicks is a very good coach, so the bad decisions MUST have been Davis
They would have to be in somewhat reasonable alignment.Earlier this year the theory was that Murray Davis made all the good decisions and Nicks made all the bad decisions

Like they can't be violently disagreeing with each other, every step of the way, it wold be untenable.
So however this has come about, you'd have to point at both of them.
