Sounds like Buttsy wasn't overly impressive in the SANFL game either.
We wiped West Adelaide, who didn't score a goal for the first! 3! quarters!
To be fair, Butts and others would not have had much defending to do with the ball in our forward half for well over the majority of the game.

I know the club has Jordan Butts as being 195cm bit that's incorrect, he was measured at the afl draft combines in 2017 197cm) and 2018 (198cm). Nick Murray is 195cm...

Would be around 197ish, Murray is leaning over

All the players that attend the AFL Draft Combine are officially measured and weighed, it's only since last year for some reason only known to the AFL the players weights aren't disclosed publically, the point is players generally grow not go the other way from their official draft height.

Can't explain it. Maybe he's had a haircut since his Beatles haircut amassed a fair amount of hair above his actual height.

Should have said 198, that’s what the official sites seem to put him as.

Another fitness test for us. Six day break and 27 degrees predicted on Saturday
27C is bad enough for an early arvo game, but showers are predicted 1000 to 1300, ish :poov1: (Willyweather).
Warm, slippery + the Humidity up there will be claustrophobic/enervating.

Does Burgess believe in sauna acclimatisation during the week, anybody know?

Speaks well.

Made an important point that he is learning the nuances of his fellow midfielders, so will only get better as this occurs.

Changes to the 22

1) Out - Rachele. In - Draper

Sid is the best like for like replacement for Rachele. A natural instinct for kicking goals, great speed, good defensive pressure. He will eventually be a top quality midfielder but I am happy for him to get a full game (including an occasional run in the midfield while Josh is missing).

2) Out - Tex. In - Nankervis

It will be warm, humid and probably slippery conditions. Curtin takes over the Tex role, Nankervis forms part of a 3 wing rotation with Sholl and Cumming.

?????? Borlase

I said before the season that we need to give Butts 3 or 4 SANFL games. The Egyptian was OK against North and he did his job when called upon last year. Long term I prefer Butts but he really struggles when he isn’t 100% fit.

??????? Keane

Imho, just keep playing him.

??????? Milera

I wanted him to spend a month in the SANFL but Nicksy ignored my suggestion. He hasn’t been diabolical this year but he needs to improve. Nank has been playing on the wing and I think this is his long term role. I’d give Milera another game but Ryan, Bond and Edwards are coming.

?????? Sholl.

Not a great game on Sunday but we haven’t been running the ball through either of our wingmen. Sholl’s numbers are slightly better than Cumming.

The Sub ??????

Probably a toss up between half a dozen players. I suspect it will be everyone’s favourite player 😱.

Sholl is unfairly a whipping boy by some of our posters here.
Teams are about balance.

He's an outside player who plays the wing very well.

You might be convinced Milera has more talent than Nankervis but I'm most certainly not, and currently it's really no contest.

Here's their relevant 2nd year stats for comparison.

Nankervis

Milera
First I've seen anyone think 2nd year stats are a reflection of talent, draft position a better reflection you'd think.

Pretty obvious to anyone that milera has more athletic talent just a matter of if he gets over his softness, that's why they're willing to give him a chance because of the talent upside.

Most on the Gold Coast board have written us off. Apparently we have a ‘sh*t midfield’. OK. We’ll see.
Their midfield is good and will possibly beat ours, but a bit laughable to read that.
I hope Rankine has the game of his life and tears them a new one. They’ll be after him, see how he responds.

They don't even have enough for a quorum on the Suns board do they?

Draft position over 2 years of AFL actual performance, please tell me you're not serious?

These are not tall gangly players that need time to develop.

Talent upside coming up for his 10th year in the AFL system you're taking the piss yeah?
