We won because Port aren’t very good and because we’ve got a gun forward line. That very forward line Nicks starved just after they piled on goals to get us the lead.

I started following football closely in 2001, when the ledger sat at 4-4, and watched Port blow it out to 4-11. At the time I doubted I would ever see the Crows ahead in the ledger.

I know it's not the first time we've led, but it does feel good to get our nose back in front

Basically yeah... no one has tried it yet, but I think the adoption clause so that it's legally binding could work. Would be interesting what the AFL would say if any club did try it.

I did a quick Google and it seems like the AFL has essentially punted it, saying that they'll handle such a case if and when it occurs.

My guess is that there will be some kind of "must have been in a parenting/guardianship capacity for xx years prior to drafting" clause added to allow it.

Roo should adopt the entire U18 state side and claim them as father-sons.

Can’t hurt to try.

If any of them don’t work out he can send them to Waikerie to do farmwork.
