Fact of the matter is, if you're in the Finals, you're a shot at winning the Flag.

In regards to you not seeing the Tigers be a genuine flag chance since 1980...They were in the Grand final in 1982, goodbye to your opinions integrity....:drunk:

Oh sorry 1982 then

Lol wow that's so much better.

Richmond make the finals this year they are NO chance at a flag. And there isn't a realistic human who would actually think they are.

"So much better" has nothing to do with it. Just rendering your profound football knowledge to be irrelevant.

Mathematically, if a team makes the finals, they are some % chance of winning the Flag. Argue it all you want though...It's factually correct.

For what it's worth I don't think we'll do any damage in the finals should we make it. But you're still wrong.

Like just about every other supporter base...

Part and parcel of BF. The opposition team spends an entire week trashing the other in the lead up to the game. One wins and one loses and as a result you get cocky winners and offended losers.

Can't see we have half a dozen every week requiring bans. I know it is a minority but just frustrating to read through a few hours after the game. I'll like Richmond a lot more in a couple weeks when I've forgotten this loss :p

Anyone care to have a crack??

We have been down for so long, almost went bankrupt recently, I don't really understand it to be honest.

But no sweat if I cop all the normal stuff in here.

Genuinely interested.

Cheers.
Grog Squad feral supporters.

You are just fishing for responses now.

You make the finals, you are a chance.. Simple.

Some more of a chance than others yes. But there is no such thing as "NO chance"

1995 was the last time we had a chance to realistically challenge. However we lost Richo with a ACL against Sydney. He was Buddy like as a youngster back then, We destroyed highly fancied North (with Wayne Carey at his peak) with a ? 9 goal first quarter early in the year. Lost our CHB in Stuart Wigney too (who killed Carey that night).

Lol you simply can't admit you have made a moronic statement

North Melbourne made the finals last year and may indeed have been a mathematicial chance but I said a REALISTIC chance and they were zero chance.

That is not factual in anyway and you can twist words all you want but you're wrong.

Making the 8 does in no way relate to a team being a REALISTIC chance which is what I was saying.

But continue to waffle on

If you don't watch Richmond games, why make comment about them?

A huge part of our form so far this year is 2nd tier players stepping up when guys like Rance, Cotch and Jack are down.

Go to bed and have more nightmares about the MCG.
I have watched all their games apart from last week.

Players like Grigg, McIntosh, Castagna, Elton, Ellis have always been not very good and still are not very good. They are carried by Martin in career best form. Rioli pulling off miraculous goals. Nankervis being a great recruit. Cotchin playing well. And so far they have had luck of the draw.

Sorry mate Carlton were the best team in the Comp by the length of Flemington straight.

You are seriously putting Elton, an absolute spud, among a list of players who are actually good/servicable players?

This proves you know nothing of our list/team.

Well, when you lose your FF and CHB for the season, it sort of brings you down a little....
When they were both there, I think we were on top of the ladder or close to it IIRC.

Edit,no. We were unbeaten after 7 rounds, but Carlton were ahead of us on %.

Also the question was when were we a realistic chance, not a dead set certainty.

Ok Hindsight harry

how easy is it to say when you are looking at it from a present perspective?

No one saw them making the prelim in 2015 either...

Btw, I am not defending North by any means and I did not think they would get anywhere near a flag last year either..But your hindsight logic is flawed.

Yeah never thought Castagna was much chop. Should never have made it to 10 games.

Anyone in the Top 8 is a flag chance. As a dogs fan, you should know that better than anyone.

Richmond made a Prelim without Richardson in 2001 and lost to the eventual Premiers. I'd say that qualifies as a realistic flag chance.
Loooool was that the year Essendon tanked the last game to pull you guys in the qualifying final.

Nooooooooo I'm not saying that

I'm responding to a comment that says if you make finals you are a realistic chance to win a flag. This isn't hindsight Coz at the start of last September ZERO people believed the Roos were a chance and it proved factual.

I've never argued a mathematical or slim chance mate.

There's only one Richmond supporter I have an issue with and that's Mick Warner who throughout his media activities is obsessed with Richmond. I find it extremely tedious after a while. Other than that, play on!

Seems like a premiership has mellowed you dog fans... whats that like?

Actually no get stuffed ya mongrels

I actually kind of like Richmond. For the same reason I suspect many people do to Melbourne, and did to us before last year. And that is they have never really been a constant threat. They are like the George Costanza of the AFL, the lovable losers, as it were.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing them have some success but I do think they are like North of last year and they will come crashing down when the draw gets harder.

That's not a Collingwood fan I see talking about feral supporters...Surely not.
Don't worry I'm getting ready to microwave my membership if we lose today.:p
