I liked this tap down by MRJ to Bolton in the middle. And a soft free to Lynch! Umpires must have forgotten that Lynch actually plays for Richmond

What stands out more was that Maurice was the one who tapped it to Bolton, and then was the first one back to the marking contest with Lynch.

Yeah but he’s no good and needs to be delisted, doesn’t get enough stats nor goals. Plays his role and that’s all the coaches ask of him I’m sure.

Having been at the game and then watching it last night on Kayo. This was such a fighting effort, to have our two key backmen down which is monstrous in the grand scheme of things killed our structure as Balta went back and left lynch as the main tall. Balta was such an aerial threat up forward.

We looked good and if we play that way we'll win more than we lose but geez we have to cut out the unforced errors. Macca, Pickett, Broad, Bakes to name a few.
Don't get me started on the gimme frees to Carlton, especially in that last quarter.

We gifted the Blues 4 goals. In a tight game decided by 5 points that's game-defining.
1) Balta going sideways in the back of the centre circle to shorty ends up being a goal.
2) Bakes does knock the ball out of Dekonings hand, ump gives a 60-meter penalty (not 50), and they goal.
3) Macca seriously how the heck can you throw the ball right in front of the Blues goals at the punt road end = goal
4) Pickett handballs straight to the Carlton player in their forward line towards the city end and they goal.

Yep losing Balta from f50 in sec half cost us victory ,,, we were coming last Q , they surrounded lynch and we were fkd

I always thought that the umpire will pay the obvious first free kick in these situations. Owies was caught and threw himself forward, but the whistle should have been the HTB. So the umpire had a choice, and went with the Carlton free, which was wrong. Same as the Macca throw - which was there, but conveniently misses the two Carlton throws that were more obvious, and finally the Cripps throw that resulted in a goal. The 50/50s mostly went to Carlton and resulted in 4-5 gifts.

Very good effort from the tiger's player's, id be very proud as a Richmond supporter. Reading some of the replies here from Richmond fans though, very disappointed. It's no wonder we call you guys the punt road ferals. Sore losers to the max. Be proud of your teams efforts and stop looking for excuses, absolute Shame.

Mansell is just no good. Always will be a battler. Is hard around the contest but Id have any of the below 7 small-med forwards ahead of him. Crucial misses like on thurs and dreamtime last year were just momentum killers.
Junior doesnt find much of the ball or kick a lot of goals but he has excellent closing speed and pressures the opposition that's his forte. Cumbo quick, good overhead, strong in the contest and kicks goals. Coulthard quick, skilful and doesnt mind a goal.
Clarke good overhead, quick, skilful and a good decision maker. Steely green quickish, puts pressure on and can kick goals.
Seth Campbell, very skilful, has some toe, uses it well and kicks goals. Sonsie good skills, makes the right decisions more times than not.

That mansell snap was just atrocious execution, ffs he was right angle to the points , was never gonna happen . I hope we find a spot for juddy

Even had both of his hands on the deck and had fairly straight arms so he didn’t end up in his back. It was holding the ball for mine but I can understand why the umpire paid it. But looking closely, that was not in the back imo.

100% that was holding the ball. How many times a player gets run down with prior opportunity and doesnt get the free, rarely happens. Problem with this clueless ump is he could not dissect that Owies threw himself forward which in turn brought Balta down with him. Its an art_cheat_form and most umps see it and reward the tackler.

The effort was certainly there & the fight they showed when players were hitting the deck showed great character. But ultimately i thought the game was of a very ordinary skill-level & we played them with Walsh, Weitering, Docherty, J.Martin, Motlop & Marchbank all missing. All those guys would walk-up start for us.

Not motlop, marchbank and martin they would be in and out of our side. Dont make them out to be like some sort of stars.
